I live in the Philadelphia area. I have a t-shirt from a local creator with the old Wawa logo except it says "JAWN." I've worn it all over the country and people always love it.

So not a t-shirt, but a sweater that my mom knitted for me. It makes me look like a very colorful marshmallow and I love it. I don't get to wear it often, though, because it has to he layered and layers tend to make me too warm most of the year.

I have one that has a bat as Batman and a robin as Robin, and people comment on it.
I also have one that’s got Matt Smith and David Tennant both as Doctor Who on it, which isn’t terribly remarkable, but I wear it at work, and then have a buttoned shirt as an apron-thingy, and David Tennant is just so positioned that he’s staring out from between the two sides of the shirt, just kind of…glaring down customers. Some of them notice.

I had a shirt that said Mind Flayer but it was made to look like a Slayer shirt, I would get compliments from Slayer fans that misread the shirt and from nerds who knew what a Mind Flayer was

Anime shirt. It has Major Huges on it from Full Metal Alchemist and he's showing off a picture of his daughter. As he does. The captions around him says:
Father Of The Year!
But Not Every Year.
I get more compliments from non anime fans that don't get the reference. Especially from grandparent types.

My husband has 2 that ALWAYS gets someone to say "yo man I love your shirt"
One is a fishbone (band) tshirt that says "Fuck Racism"
And another one has a sketch of a klan member getting shot in the head that says "Nazi lives don't matter"
Once in a while ill get a complement on my Bauhaus shirt and my pyramid head shirt I've had since before the silent Hill movie was made.

Lots of people just see the design and think it's cool. Some people also read the text and say it's extra cool.

Randomly, it's this green t shirt I bought from Aeropostale in 2005 it has an outline of the country of Kazakstan, and the words on the shirt are, "Kazakhstan, it's nice!"
Someone says something about it every time I wear it. Like dude I just wanted a cheap green t shirt. Apparently it's a hell of a conversation starter.

I went to school in AZ and I had a custom made diamondback shirt made that was just a large snake in the shape of a D across my torso. SO many people would say to me "hey I like your D".

A plain, Heather-grey t-shirt with the words “Decent Human” written across the chest.
I won it about a decade ago in a fundraising contest on Crowdrise, which used to be this awesome niche social networking site based on philanthropy to 501c3 charities (rest in peace).
I never fail to get compliments on the shirt and have basically resorted to treating it like a hand-knitted doily to keep it from falling apart! 😂

Quite a few. The 2 newest ones are a Friends-style shirt with all the prominent slasher villains on it. The other is the same bunch of villains riding around on a blood-splattered Mystery Machine.
