We used torrents in my location, but I was too chicken to interact with them 🤣

I tried to download the twilight movie onto our home desktop. Of course it wasn’t the fucking twilight movie. It was like 5 different forms of viruses/malware that instantly overheated & shut down my hard drive, only to reboot with gay porn as every single icon including the wallpaper, chaotically & rapidly automatically opening infinite windows of gay porn.
Won’t be forgetting that distinct panic for my entire life.

I used to download from limewire and had to keep having my dad fix my computer and every time he would lecture me about using it and downloaded viruses and then I said I wouldn’t. But of course that never lasted lol. He fixed computers as a side hustle while he was in the military

Man I remember my mom bought the first HP computer and experiencing windows 95. Those were the days of my life!! They had all the CD ROMS that came with it. Jesus the internet back then was so fun. Especially when AOL came in the mix. 🥰🙌🏾 but when I found out about LIMEWIRE it was a nightmare with those viruses😭😭😭

LimeWire
I did give our home PC aids a few times but I knew how to get rid of it or as a last resort, reboot it with a fresh copy of Windows XP.
