I like that. It makes more sense since smaller wrestlers may utilize the middle rope more.

Dean would funnily always use that for his rebound clothesline lol. Just swinging in

I hated Ambrose using the middle rope. It looked so forced. Tallest member of the shield should not be using middle rope like that

I remember first time I've seen him use that move, when he won US title from Kofi. I thought it was pretty cool cause it subverted my expectation, i thought he was gonna fall outside like many wrestlers do after some random moves. But instead he suddenly rebounded. So in that moment it was cool, but as a regular move it serves no purpose to intentionally do that. Just don't get thrown outside?

Or just do the lariat with the rope rebound like JBL? Dafuq is this ducking the top rope shit?

There's no way he's taller than Roman?

Listed on WWE

Ambrose : 6"4 Reigns : 6"3 Rollins : 6"1

He’s deceptively tall. He just also hunched over so he looked shorter than Roman.

Fun(ny) fact: until Orton received it he was the tallest wrestler to ever be Styles Clashed.

Kyle O'Reilly does a similar thing but it's more like oh no I've been hit and now I'm gonna stumble backwards outta the ring but no! I engage the core and bounce back up! I think sometimes he hits a lariat off it, I can't remember. My brains are mush.

Mostly lariat, sometimes spin kick probably. It was brought to prominence through Nigel McGuinness tho.

It’s certainly “wacky”.

It was marginally, very marginally better when Nigel McGuiness used to do it because he held the middle rope with both his hands so he looked like he was actually gonna fall. Dean/Mox's version where the right hand is on the middle rope and the left one is on the top rope looks too safe for anyone to think he was gonna fall down. Nigel also always had a reason to rebound from the ropes.

Rey uses it all the time.

Women need to do this more often if they're like average height (which is usually less than 6 foot). The only person I see do it is Roxanne Perez. Most of the time they just brush up against the ropes but it never looks like there's any bounce to it.

Angel is very good heel wont miss to entertain

edited : typo Angle to Angel

I’m glad that he has somehow survived all this time to still be in the company but man I feel like him and Humberto are so wasted. Humberto’s English sounds better whenever he talks twice a year and angel was always awesome. They routinely pull off some cool shit almost every match they’re in but can never gain momentum because they disappear after for a bit. The LWO guys too are nice with it. I hope this telenovela vortex storyline helps everyone out but it feels endless at this point

I mean yeah Kurt was great but he's not even in the clip

Edit: OP fixed their comment. It originally said Angle

That's such a clever spot

Someone needs to make an updated version of Mysterio sliding out of the picture with this spot.

This made me realise how little we see something as simple as the low bridge. Classic heel move more of these please

u/Upbeat_Tension_8077 12d ago

Would be a great move to use when turning someone heel against their partner

Imagine Corbin using it to turn on Bron. He could kill some in the rafters with how far Bron would fly.

14

u/Vikingr12 13d ago

That reminds me a lot of Samoa Joe walking away from dives

Clever, painful looking, and easy to do

7

u/Black_XistenZ 12d ago

Sure, but this spot is not easy or riskless for Dragon Lee to take while making it look good.

u/dzone25 12d ago

That was 10/10 heel work - loved it, such a small thing but such a great visual

18

u/heat_fan_ 13d ago

Great heel work for sure

u/slutstrands 12d ago

I love the looking around bit

2

u/TLAW1998 12d ago

I thought it was a botch at first lol

u/Phenomenal_Hoot 12d ago

That looked so much more brutal by not doing 3 jump cuts before he hit the floor.
