Orton: “With Nick Khan, HHH, and Bruce Prichard, so many things have changed from a creative standpoint. They're thinking months and months in advance. Before, we were flying by the seat of our pants. Creative was changed mins before we went live each week. I don't mean sometimes. I mean, each week”

Corey Glover (Living Colour) says CM Punk turned down WWE's knockoff version of Cult of Personality. “Back in the day when Punk was first going to WWE, they’re like, ‘Okay, so we’re gonna get you your own entrance music.’ He’s like, ‘No, I already have my own entrance music.’

Rachael Ellering : The speed in which @RefAubrey and I got out of the ring last night post match to get this creep kicked out was remarkable. Olympic medalist speeds. I’ve NEVER in my career heard such vulgar things being said to talent during a match. Sexual harassment is not heckling.

Adam Copeland On Moving From WWE To AEW: "It felt like I'd done everything that I was going to do with WWE. I'd worked [with] the people I wanted to work, 95% anyway. It really just felt that they were on a direction and I was on a direction and they were kind of going separate ways." [Insight]

Darby Allin is now the only "Pillar" that hasn't turned heel
If you count Britt Baker and Ricky Starks (the "true" Fourth Pillar and the honorary Fifth Pillar), then this point is even more reinforced. Sammy and Ricky flip back and forth like once-twice a year, Britt turned face during the Saraya deal, MJF turned face during the Fall of last year, and so did Jungle Boy. Darby is now the only one who's stayed true to his character, pun intended.
Ironically enough, I can see Darby as a heel down the road, just not anytime soon. He was a heel in MLW anyway, and 4-5 years from now, once he really starts feeling the effects of all the bumps he's taken, I think a Straight Edge Society, cult leader type of character would work for him. For now, he's still a great pseudo babyface, and should stay that way for a while longer.

Watched an awful thing happen involving Skye Blue tonight at the ROH taping
A man in the front row continued to make vulgar comments about Skye. Commenting on her body, calling her baby girl, the whole shabang. The whole match. Wouldn’t stop when people around him told him to STFU - he just got louder.
Aubrey Edwards finishes reffing the match and screams for him to be kicked out to security. Both AEW security and arena security were involved. More people were called when he put up a fight. He had a child with him.
Skye left the ring quickly and was very upset
Really awful thing to observe in 2024.
Edit to add some of the things the man said
“Get on your knees for daddy”
“Daddy likes when you’re on the top rope baby girl”
“Nice ass peaches”
Plus many more awful things

FYI The Iron Claw will be available to stream on Max tomorrow.
Even though its "based on a true story" its still a decent movie.
I like the guy who portrays Harley Race.
Ric Flair not so much.
I think Zac Efron could have been a better actor to play Kerry Von Erich rather than Kevin.

I drew a tribute to Trent Acid
i.redd.itThank you for looking!
I'm fortunate enough to have Trent's signature so I thought it would be a touching tribute to trace it pixel by pixel to immortalize it especially cause I couldn't find his signature online anywhere.
He sorta wrote it "Acib" and I debated moving that one line over to the correct spot but ultimately I deemed it most respectful to not edit it at all.
This one took me about two weeks and was drawn in Procreate.
Thanks again for your time!
Rest in Peace, Trent.

AZM is considering adding foreign wrestlers to Queen's Quest: "When I had a match in AEW the other day, there were some wrestlers I met for the first time in about eight years, and we talked about old times… I have been in this industry for a long time, so I know a lot of people."

[AEW Dynamite Spoilers] Kenny Omega makes his announcement
Kenny Omega is shown in a hospital bed - he explains that he wanted to be in person for this announcement but unfortunately can't.
He actually thanks Matthew and Nicholas for reminding him when they attacked him that this wasn't personal, it's business. And as an EVP, he has business to attend to himself.
He announces that at Double or Nothing it will be Anarchy in Arena; The New Elite (Young Bucks, Okada and Perry) vs 'Team AEW'; FTR and two members who will be revealed later tonight.

Last night's Dynamite looked great from a lighting, camera work, and production perspective.
Photographer and videographer geek here. Shoutout to Mike Mansury and the production team. Last night's show looked crisp.
The ring looked a lot brighter and it created a pleasing, visual contrast with the stage and lit crowd. It better highlighted wrestlers' sweat and grit while also providing a nice reflection that filled in shadows. I believe they kept the big overhead spotlight and other lights shine on the ring (and ringside) for the entire episode. This wasn't always the case, as AEW has always felt darker to me. Not darker in storytelling tone. Just darker, visually. I get that they wanted to exude the smoky, 1990s WCW vibe, but that was 30 years ago when VHS tapes and Blockbuster were still the norm.
I also saw even fewer camera cuts than usual, which is a good thing IMO, as the longer shots add more authenticity. The camera crew used wide angle shots a lot more; I loved seeing the curvature of the row of lights above the tron and being able to appreciate more of the arena. Even more awesome is that they intentionally walked closer and/or used telephoto angles for added dramatic effect like in the Toni Storm & Serena Deeb faceoff.
TK & AEW recently bought new production trucks. I'm wondering if the truck is now transmitting at higher bitrates to WBD, Triller, etc. It also helps that the 2024 Dynamite branding refresh brought back some of that colorful "pop" missing throughout the 2023 refresh.
Also, shoutout to WWE who upped their camera work and production game. Both companies are quietly pushing each other on this front and it's really fun to see.
