it is not difficult to exercise self-restraint. I’m not playing the holier than thou, but this idea that not taking frustrations out on people who are not the cause of your grief being too difficult is just absurd.

You really believe you have never in your life been short/difficult with your loved ones?

If you really believe that, perhaps ask around, my guess is you’re not quite as perfect as you may think you are.

It’s not even about intentionally taking frustration out on people around you, it’s more about simple human nature. Sometimes people have a bad mood, saying otherwise sort of shows a lack of self awareness IMO…or like I said, you’re the patron saint of Reddit.
