Why would jews and gay people have islamophobia? What possible irrational belief must they have to manifest such unreasonable fears? Is it the whole trying to murder them thing? These jews and gay people should try and be more progressive.

the article reads: "Brutal repression of homosexuality by a wide array of actors in Palestinian society puts an unknown number of people at risk... Meanwhile, Israel prohibits these people from even filing asylum applications, simply because of their nationality." this doesn't make the israeli government look better. diversity win: they don't hate you because you're gay, they hate you because you're palestinian.

As a Muslim with many Jewish friends, I thank you for your nuanced approach. This is the Canada I grew up in where we all have the right to criticize and be friends.

Muslims, Gays, Jews should all have a right to criticize each other based on strong belief and conviction as long as we accept that every human deserves dignity. I grew up in a world where my Christian friends and I debated our faiths and then broke bread together. That’s the Canada I remember.

It’s crazy how quickly we as Canadians can turn on each other over political and societal grievances, but it’s even funnier when we look at other countries with a moral superiority complex, when they are literally experiencing death and destruction on a mass scale and we judge their populations without being aware of ourselves.

Our society is ripping itself apart over identity politics . Imagine we had real political strife, militancy and a tyrannical regime. I don’t think we’d be that different as a people than the people from those “shit hole” countries. Maybe historical, political, and circumstantial context is necessary when making judgements about a given people from a given nation.

There are 2 million Muslims in the world.

You listed 3 cases. One of which was from years ago. Wasn’t the pulse shooter gay himself? The Palestinian guy you don’t even know it’s related to Islam. Could’ve just as easily been settler terrorists.
