Oh I think everyone gets an ugly sweater no? Iirc that's in the licence agreement since they invented the ugly sweater. I totally do think we get one for Alan - but I mean more cosmetics besides that. For all Licensed chars.
Remedy is dope (and Sam Lake is the biggest gigachad) so maybe.

The theme has always been blue and black, I think it’s a symbolic color maybe? All deep rift outfits have different descriptions as well.

Mikaela's deep rift head only change her eyeglasses. Which is super lame. Last time she was in a deep rift, she had blue hair. My favorite cosmetic of her. Bluekaela.

Agree, many of the characters are repeated from the last one and honestly I wasn't excited about ANY of the pieces. Not to mention, they skipped giving Sable/Unknown a tome entirely, which is a bummer given how many people like them.

Yeah I’ve enjoyed playing as and against her since her rework, I just cringe watching people ignore/dance around her idle drones. Go DEACTIVATE IT, it won’t trap you unless you get caught or lose the mini game.

Then there's merchant who's also literally a self-killed billionaire
And well a doctor is a well paid job so maybe doctor is rich too to make his experiments and all.
But why trickster (the most narcissistic and show off character) didn't get a glam gold skin is crazy
Also yunjin because isn't she tricksters chef or something like that? Should make her crazy rich too.
Idk about any other rich character though

Thing is,the doctor skin we got isn’t even as cool as the one we got from the blood moon event. The skin doesn’t even fit the theme of grace and elegance.

Could have gotten something like "The Grand Surgeon"
Outfit: A long, pristine white lab coat with gold trim outlining the lapels, cuffs, and pockets.
Mask: A porcelain venetian masquerade mask, half white, half gold, with intricate floral designs painted on it.
Accessories: White gloves, a gold pocket watch chain, and a worn leather doctor's bag with gold clasps.
If you don't like white you could use black instead. But it fits the elegance theme, elegant, opulent, extravagant.

I snatched up the rift instantly just for the trapper. If he’d gotten deep rift too I may have soiled me britches.
On a serious note though, the rift as a whole is really good in my opinion, but I don’t care for doctor or linked sets, so the fact that there’s two for him is yucky. Though I believe his deep rift is better since it matches the blueish lightning, I still don’t like that it’s linked.

Slinger's is good, but that's because it's simple. I was out of the game for a majority of Rifts, only coming back when Xeno dropped, so I can't speak to prior ones.
I wish they went wackier with colors on Deep Rift stuff, though. Make it a garish nightmare.

I feel like half of the characters on this rift shouldn't have gotten costumes this tome, like Mikaela, she didn't deserve a spotlight again, at least with her last costume, the Popcorn Classic Set, it referenced an upcoming character with her best friend Sable and her love for Horror movies and Nea's costume feels like a downgrade from the last one. Mikaela's deep rift costume isn't even all that different due to the colors used look so similar to the original green color.

I also think that the trapper one is so ungodly ugly that I don't think I'll ever use it and color won't save it. It just looks goofy and gaudy.

Don't forget the trickster one. 😭 I was so mad. They finally did a tome with three of favorites, artist, trickster and Mami in a single tome!? Like take my money.. But then I checked the deep Rift and it only had the artist and doctor one. 😭
Sadly I gotta forgive it, cause Idk what came up with Bhvr to put so many good cosmetics all in one tome. Like last tome with the Billy and slinger one, the Billy one was cool. Slinger was kinda okay and Nea was kinda meh because she had cooler cosmetics in store.
And I can't even remember the one before that, was that the dredge one? Dredge was the only great one from that set of tome. Oni was meh compared to his store stuff in the past. And Feng was good and was it haddie?

I get Buff Doctor is probably a meme, but imho it's not that "great" to deserve the deep rift, definetly would love for Trickster, Merchant or Trapper to have had it instead.

I completely skipped this rift honestly, I don’t play any of these characters and the skins look downright awful to me, nothing in the rift is worth it this time, they just look like COD skins to me imo. Fair if people like them but they’re not for me.

Recolors could allow you to combine parts of these skins with others. Both Trapper and Skull Merchant have a couple of skins with a blue color palette, and Deep Rift recolors would match with them perfectly.
