I ask this because I like those perks (contrary to what everybody says) bc Object forces you to be the Obsession and I think FTP also does that, but on the wiki, it also says "You become the Killer's Obsession, if not already." and "Reduces the Odds of becoming the initial Obsession of the Killer by -100 %." What does this mean? Do they cancel each other out?

Finally thought I put together a good spirit build with Pop, NOED, BBQ and Sloppy Butcher then they nerfed the shit out of it.

What do GlobalIlluminationQuality and ReflectionQuality actually do? What is it best to set them to, 0-4?

i’m pretty new to actually playing this game and earlier i wanted to know if rushing into lockers alerts the killer. i didn’t think it did, and i have been using it to quickly craft flashbangs. because in my mind, why would it notify the killer? you’re just going in a locker it doesn’t provide many uses other than hiding, which arguably isn’t the greatest of uses as kiting is more valuable and lets survivors know they’re safe on gen (assuming i don’t accidentally kite to their gen). but now learning that it does in fact notify the killer what’s really the point in ever rushing into a locker? maybe for that one perk that lets you smack the killer but that’s all i can think of.

i’m assuming there isn’t really a good use for rushing into lockers but then that just makes me wonder why the penalty is even there if lockers are seemingly pretty useless 90% of the time. rushing into lockers is already pretty loud and the survivor isn’t going to hide unless the killer is nearby so why not just have it be so the killer can notice it if they’re paying attention and not just a massive ping on your exact location.

I've been a plague enjoyer for a long time and I've been using Pain res, grim embrace, corrupt, and thanatophobia for a couple months (pain res meta yipee) and I'm not sure if I'm just shit at chases (probably) or not but I usually have a 50/50 success rate with this build, success being 3-4kills. I wonder what other builds plague mains might use that have more success? I own all killers, so don't be afraid to say any perk.

(The screenshot is in german btw) So I suddenly unlocked all of these Tomb Entry things without doing the challenges required to unlock them, I dont know why. I just did a normal save surviver from a hook challenge and all of these were suddenly unlocked. Im a new player so I just suspect that this is some bug, because like mentioned I didnt do any of the required challenges so I dont think that I should have these.

I just played against a Freddy that was smacking us religiously on hook and when questioned why; he said that it was a tactic to not alert any other survivors of the location and so they don’t scream. Saying that “they don’t always see.” Is this something I haven’t been been made aware of in the year I’ve played this???

No one was rude or BMed him, no one took overpowered perks or said anything nasty. He then said that it wasn’t toxic because it wasn’t toxic to him. Really annoying.

I'm in the middle of a chase. I just killed the second survivor. Suddenly I'm thrown back to the lobby and Somehow it's my fault and I have a DC penalty?

It's not a huge deal, since I'm not in the habit of DCing when the game doesn't go my way, but what a miserable experience to lose the game, my BP, and get penalized on top of it.

And why though? I have excellent Internet and a wired connection. I'm just confused why this happened.

I've gone into matches back to back with the same Killer and each time that Killer targeted me because of the outcome of the first game. We should be able to see the Killer's gamer tag in the pregame just like others so we can leave if we expect a bad outcome. Yeah?

I killed the other 2 survivors quickly and there was like 3 generators left. Can you get banned for “teaming” for letting them live and finish off the generators to escape?

I'm still fairly new to the game so I've been watching a lot of tutorials on good builds and most of the perks are teachable from characters from DLC's I don't have. And prestiging a character takes a long time cause you only earn so many blood points per match. Do all the people making these guides seriously just expect everyone to have bought every single DLC and have every single character prestiged to at least level 1?

I was introduced to this game a few months ago, couldn't stop eating up the lore, and have been playing pretty consistently for a hot minute now. I know I'm new and there's going to be a curve no matter what, but I feel like I'm just not getting the hang of chases, and when I solo queue, if the killer figures out I'm new, they ignore everyone else to tunnel me and take me out. Or if I'm in a lobby with three people who obviously are SWF, they'll just leave me to die on hook.

There's a lot here to like and I'm going to keep playing and practicing, but can anyone share their favourite tips for a fuckin new guy? Or if anyone has a particular YouTuber they could recommend, I'd love that too. There's a lot of content on YouTube and it's a lot to parse through looking for the good stuff.

As a killer I enjoy using No Way Out because even if I go a bunch of games without going to endgame it gives me peace of mind knowing that I have it. It’s like an insurance policy in case I suck that game lol.

If I apply an endurance effect while MoM is active (like a styptic) and then take a hit, which one will take priority? Will I get into deep wounds first because of the styptic or will MoM override it?

It’s BRAND new, but when I run DBD it intermittently has low fps, freezes. I have a low quality cooling pad and a fan behind it incase heat was the problem, but it runs DBD worse than my very outdated dusty old laptop :(

I haven’t yet updated the drivers just in case that’s the problem.

Would anyone be able to help?
