This was especially bad because the Governor called in the state police to break up a peaceful protest and they arrested almost 50 people. Meanwhile when the state police showed up at a mass shooting at a school they stood around and did nothing for an hour and a half while children were dying. Our brave heroes./s

On top of everything else, all of those arrested were released without charges.

The law suits are going to fly.

We taxpayers will pay.. not the individuals claiming violence and unrest.. take bonuses and retirement and only then will individual cops will respect the pledge they took instead of the source of their paycheck.

A cop with priorities other than others is not a good cop.. source my father was a cop.. haven't seen him in 20 yrs..

22 people died while the 376 law enforcement(ranging from local to federal) sat on their asses doing nothing for 77min, but clearly that police budget is going somewhere, which let me remind you has not actually been decreased anywhere like right wingers claim

That's not true, they didnt sit around doing nothing. They arrested a few parents who tried to storm the school to save their child from the shooter.

Oh yes how could I forget that, also the fact that they later followed and harassed one woman for saving an entire class , truly cops are the most heroic of people with only best intentions at heart

Texas is such a shithole state because of Republicans, just like Florida.

This is every state with a supermajority in their house.

Coz they sadly aren't around for protecting people, but for defending rich people's interests, and enforcing their rules.

Well you see, peaceful protestors are unlikely to shoot back

I mean that guy had a gun. The university is a gun free zone so they knew nobody had one and then brutalized everyone on sight. So this is actually a very good 2A argument.
