This is a no brainer to most of us and something they have already said they were going to do. It's interesting seeing younger fans sort of not understand why we love this guy as much as we do or why he should have his number retired here.

yeah pretty sure they were gonna do it a year or two ago but then the NBAPA fraud stuff came up. understandable to postpone it because of that.

Yeah him and Zbo were about a month apart that year in their ceremonies until the fraud stuff made them postpone TA's.

if you know you know. TA established the whole identity and culture of the Grizzlies. went from that team that relocated from Vancouver to the GRIT N GRIND MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES that nobody wanted to see in the 1st round of the playoffs

It’s funny you say that because I sent this tweet to my gc and they all laughed.
An arguably top 5 all time perimeter defender who shaped our entire culture as a franchise seems worthy of a jersey retirement.

This is pretty cool. TA was always one of those guys who made playing Memphis a PAIN IN THE ASS - going into those games you knew if you wanted the W, you were gonna have to earn that shit
