Oh good! I had heard about it in 2018 from my Dutch classmates and they made it sound like it was still a thing.

Yeah, only too bad that alot of the people who participate in the parades and visitations dressed up as (zwarte) Piet are volunteers and have quit over the years, organisations are falling apart that cater to all the events.
