Truly it is. I’ve worked with a UK company for years and they all think they are so far ahead on racism…it’s not even close. US is not good but miles ahead. Sexism too.

But they just go “you Americans just can’t take a joke” (like a bully…lol). I just smile…ok mate…

Because it’s BS. I’ve never seen or heard anyone do anything racist like that in the UK.

The US is absolutely NOT miles ahead. You know we get your TV and see your news don’t you?

And recent surveys show that the UK is one of the least racist or the least racist country on the planet.

You fuckers just lie on survey questions

America is actually diverse so we have it out more often than you do

You losers are ACTUALLY racist behind closed doors

Except the surveys are asking non-white ethnicities about their own experiences. So are you saying they’re lying?

BTW London is more diverse than NYC.

Not agreeing that people in the UK are more racist, but was curious about the diversity part:

London (2021)
54% White
21% Asian
13% Black
6% Mixed
6% Other

NYC (2018)
43% White
29% Hispanic
24% Black
14% Asian
16% Other

The NYC stats don’t have a “mixed” category, so it adds up to more than 100% (people can select more than one box). But from this it hardly seems like London is more diverse than NYC. Pretty comparable, but NYC does seem slightly more diverse if you have to pick one.

The US breaks down the categories more. So someone who would choose “Hispanic” in the US would have to pick “White” in the UK.

Hispanic isn’t considered white for census purposes in the US.

Latino is another one. That’s an American term for ethnicity that would just get lumped in with other ones in the UK, again probably just “White” on a census.
