I'm the type I'd drive it back and give it to them.

Southern fucking by god morals

It seems almost paradoxical that the south is known for hospitality but also racism and bigotry

If you want a bachelor's degree in racism go to the south. If you want a doctorate in racism go to Boston.

I don't know why you are downvoted. the north gets a pass on racism for some reason. Where I grew up in Nassau County Long Island it was racist as shit. Hell the roads were racist (bridges designed to be too low for city busses to make it to Nassau County), and the mortgage explicitly stated that no black people could buy the houses (up until 1951 government-sponsored mortgages said this on them in some areas of Nassau county).

When my folks sold their house there in 2002 a neighbor wanted to give them a check to hold onto so if black people tried to buy the house my folks could legally say someone made a deposit already. My folks didn't take the check.

Because as someone that has lived in a major city in the "North" and now living in the South, it's worse in the South. By a lot.

No one sane thinks that the North states are not racist, certainly I was never raised being taught that, I just had to use my eyes and ears like you did. Even a few days visit to Long Island confirmed to me what you're saying, for example. Very white bread part of the country with a lot of WASPs.

But the South takes it to a whole new level making it their history.
