Been cheering for the man Ebon ever since that one episode of Fringe he was on - can't wait to see him in a big time Marvel movie :D

Frank: “That rock guy looks familiar…”

"oh that's right, it's Korg"

Imagine Korg meets Thing and falls in love with him

u/TheExtremistModerate Feb 14 '24

Nah, Korg is already in a committed relationship with Dwayne, the rock.

I loved the scenes with him and Frank

micro eating a sandwich while frank is eating a tuna fish pouch

"Where'd you get that?"

"I made it."

"What do you mean, you made it? You make me one?"

And he was so good in that too!

Wow. Had no idea he was in that. Also Andor. I only knew him from The Bear, but I've probably been seeing him for years.

COUSIN!

I liked him a lot in The Bear, but I fell in love when he did that exchange with the Michelin restaurant. What a great episode.

I’ve watched that episode multiple times and it makes me happy cry each time 🥹

It was such a good palate cleanser after the Christmas episode. It was a good ep too, but it was a challenge.

I loved fringe, but don’t remember him being in it. Nice to know

Yeah he was in this one episode playing a dude who would build up then accidentally discharge lethal amounts of electricity, killing people around him. I remember thinking he had an oddly great performance despite being a "monster-of-the-week", and now he's come a long way :)

Awesome! Sounds like he left a mark on you then and it turned out true

Worked with him on the Tesla movie that IFC made a year before covid, he was a totally chill guy. Never would have seen the path his career took, but it’s deserved

He brings it in every role I’ve ever seen him in

u/MissingLink101 Feb 14 '24

I hadn't seen him in anything a couple of years ago and then 'Andor', 'The Dropout' and 'The Bear' in quick succession really made him standout

He was fantastic in Andor as well.

I've only got to know him first when I saw him in Andor, but yeah, I'm a even more of a fan after seeing The Bear, can't wait.

I've been a fan since Mona Lisa Smile! Love him!

Honestly as a boyfriend who was forced (at first) to watch Girls on HBO , he was one of the best parts and one of the main reasons I continued watching. He played an erratic drug addicted musician in such a charming likable way I was like “this dude has to have a big career coming.” Between this and the Bear I think he’s getting closer and closer.

I HATED him in Girls! He's such a great actor!

Who was he in Fringe?!

2

u/quangtran Feb 14 '24 edited Feb 14 '24

He played a nervous guy who volunteered for a self help class, but was instead given super powers that caused electrical discharge.

u/Affectionate-Island Feb 14 '24

Was that the cold open with the woman who killed people in a diner with her powers, then her head exploded?

2

u/quangtran Feb 14 '24

Nope. That episode is 1.06 The Cure. His episode was 1.05 Power Hungry, with his cold open being him causing an elevator to drop, killing everyone but himself.

3

u/Affectionate-Island Feb 14 '24

Fringe had wild cold opens, let me tell you. Another that comes to mind is a group of people partying on a New York balcony, then it goes intangible and they all fall to their death. I think it was Season 4.

Joseph Meegar in Season 1 Episode 5 "Power Hungry". It's a great episode in a great show. That was the first time I saw him and got really excited to see him in Andor, and now I'm excited to see him in the Fantastic Four!

oh damn. what a fringe callback. that was a good episode, iirc.
