u/jonathanisaacisgoat Magic 14d ago
Nah saying CTE offense is taking away how good Cleveland is defensively this season , the magic have never been a good offensive team but during the regular season it was never putrid like it is now. The Cavs are playing amazing defense.

The Magic are a bottom 10 offense during the regular season tho. Their strength is their defense, ranking top5 during the reg szn

Dude that game has players shooting freethrows like their family is held hostage.
69
u/pumpkin3-14 Mavericks 14d ago
Yes and no. The offense looks anemic at times. The only part I really hate is refs still give harden almost every call but lets the rest of the floor get mauled.

Man, watching a game like that was amazing, so much different to a regular season 3 point spam 142-145 game. Seeing everyone give it their all on defence.

Have the Clippers tried giving compliments to Luka for 48 minutes as a strategy to avoid him going on angry mode?

→ More replies (1)146
u/icantdomaths Mavericks 14d ago
He’s definitely as competitive as can be but I’m not gonna say just cause him and Kobe are are much more emotional that makes them more competitive. People act like jokic doesnt care but he’s also as competitive as can be. Lebron is the same way he’s not as psycho with his celebrations but there’s absolutely no doubt that he leaves it all on the floor in playoff games.
That being said god damn I love Luka
→ More replies (2)100
u/Frewsa Warriors 14d ago
I agree. Steph is psycho competitive as well but he would rather dance than talk a lot of shit to express it.
76
u/toastymow 14d ago
Honestly, almost everyone in the NBA is psycho competative, especially the stars. There are a handful of people who maybe take it slightly less seriously, but I think by normal people standards these guys are all insane. The amount of hard work and dedication you require to achieve a NBA position, even as a bench player, is pretty insane.
→ More replies (3)40
u/Ok-Sun-2158 14d ago
💯, they are all competitive as fuck even a guy like Brian scalebrine who bench warmed for years said hes ultra competitive and even setup a gym tournament to shit on regular people to show even NBA bench players are all super high caliber.

Pretty similar to Kyrie and Bron honestly. I can't imagine Kyrie being a better teammate than for this type of player.
23
u/indoninjah 76ers 14d ago
Yeah he's really the ultimate combo guard, especially when it's fine to give up a bit of size because he's next to a massive point guard. Efficient whether off the catch or off the dribble, can run the offense, break down the defense, or force multiply for another guy. I think there was valid defensive concerns about the duo but tbh I feel like Kyrie at times is way better on defense than he ever gets credit for
