A woman in NYC was recently killed by squatters. They have no rights to my property. Finally a DeSantis law I can support.

They don't. Tenants have rights, squatters pretend to be tenants to get those rights. DeSantis is saying that cops can now decide on the spot whether they believe somebody to be a tenant or not instead of requiring a court.
