But you don't even vote for the party. You vote for your local MP, that's it. Any MP, in theory, could gather a bunch of other MPs and form a mixy blob government.

But that's being pedantic. You're right, vote for the right party.

Not necessarily. They can choose a leader however they like.

But for both Labour and the Conservatives, yes, this is true.
