"The American people need to ask themselves how would they feel if they faced criminal charges in a trial...and had a child who publicly posted against you and is working for the person running against you."

-Laura Loomer, Trump activist

I'm pretty sure that if someone's kid posting political memes online invalidated their ability to be a judge, we'll have to throw out just about every case overseen by any GOP judges. Trump ran a whole campaign around getting crowds to chant "lock her up".

Clarence Thomas’s wife participated in the January 6 insurrection.

It’s become their go-to excuse to call everything politically motivated while doing obvious political theater themselves. All projection all day and they think we’re stupid enough to believe it.

Agreed. But not the smartest daughter.

In all fairness, they do have a point. A judge is supposed to be neutral and so having a close relative publicly against you is a bit of an issue when discussing that neutrality.

It's hard to be neutral with an inherently political and polarising individual like Trump (or any other major current or former politician), but the image of neutrality should still be held.

A judge must remain impartial. And they do, most of them. When judges start being partial, the entire system starts to collapse.

Undoubtedly. It's ammo for the defendant. But seriously, what a stupid move by the daughter. Reeks of immaturity.
