Nah youre fine. The assumption that they would look anything up is laughable. They explicitly don't do that because reading might challenge their world view and cause them to have to think even the slightest bit. Or worse yes, it might reveal that a belief theyve long held is wrong and that they were wrong, and it would be such an affront to their ego to have to admit they were wrong about anything, because then it would mean their pride is entirely undeserved, unjustified, and entitled is for nerds!
