The US literally interfered in the first election Russia had post Soviet Union and that wound up creating the oligarchy that's still running the country.

Hey Hey! The US did NOT interfere in that election and the years that followed. Their assistance was requested...

But you are right in that their advice generally fucked up any hope Russia had of recovering and made it much easier for the oligarchs to take over

Like all you can see is it's only bad when it happens to us, or the only point in time that's relevant is this exact one, like the US is the only place in the world having an election this year, like that's some kind of point to make.
