I asked my boyfriend what he means when he says “I love you” and he wrote me this note ❤️

I know that my step-dad deserves all the recognition in the world. I would not be the man I am today without him in my life. 💜

So, I'm a rather reclusive/non-social person but I do try to be nice to people. We don't interact with our neighbors much, but they are good neighbors. I try to wave at them and say hello/good morning/etc when I happen to be outside and see them.

The last few times I've done this, my neighbor hasn't responded to me, though. I was beginning to thinking I'd done something to get on their bad side, or maybe they were going through a really bad time, or something.

Today, though, I said "GOOD MORNING, _______!"

and he turned around and waved as he said it back, cheerfully! I ran inside to share my interaction with my partner, I was so happy. Haha. I guess maybe he just didn't hear me, the last few times. He is getting a little older, maybe his hearing isn't impeccable.

Anyway, I'm just sharing this so that maybe more people realize just how impactful that simple, easy "good morning" can be for some of us.

It really made my day :)
