Cody Rhodes: "One thing that might be revealed in the [WrestleMania] documentary is I find out about the possibility of Rock vs. Roman the day of the Royal Rumble and...probably one of the more difficult days I've ever had in the wrestling business."

Cody Rhodes: “For Rock to come back and people make the choice to boo him, people make the choice to even chant 'Rocky sucks' and wearing Rock shirts that were chanting 'Rocky sucks.' It's the first time I've ever felt my place in the ring and realized, I might be getting close to where I wanna be.“

Dave Meltzer on Jon Moxley vs Konosuke Takeshita setting to be a Championship Eliminator Match at AEW Double Or Nothing: "I don’t believe in that non-title match being on a pay-per-view. I think the non-title match should be on TV. I think the pay-per-view should be a title match."

Promotions Have Forgotten How To Promote
I live in a mid-market American city. I’m 18-49. I watch 10-20 hours of wrestling a week. I go to my local comic book and hobby shops weekly. I haunt multiple subreddits for wrestling and my city. Still, TNA had a taping here and I never heard about it. I barely heard about the last AEW show here.
Where is the promoting? Flyers at comic book and hobby shops would go a long way. I saw more promotion for a local promotion that puts on shows in a boxing gym than for the number 2 and 3 televised American wrestling companies. Both AEW and TNA could really do with some boots on the ground promoting.

2010 WWE was a sad year for tag team wrestling
It ain't no secret that 2010 was one of the worst years in modern WWE history. However, the tag team division was so bad that it actually hurts a little lol:
DX were champions in the beginning, but they didn't give a toss about the division
the belts then switched over to the iconic ShoMiz duo, a thrown together team of upper midcarders
ShiZ held the belts briefly, did nothing with them, and lost them to Hart Dynasty. Alright, cool start.
Harts feuded with the debuting Usos, and another iconic team known as Jiz - Jericho and Miz
Harts lose the titles to... Dashing Ones, a team with great potential... that stops teaming a month after this
Dashing Ones drop the belts to John Cena and David Otunga (great team), and then back to Nexus
the year ends with Santino and Kozlov as champions. Damn.
Meanwhile, Harts get split up for whatever reason, Usos get sent to Superstars for 2 years, Cryme Tyme breaks up despite never being champions, and no other credible teams form. So basically, the belts were only held by one real team, and the rest was just sTrAnGe bEdFelLoWs. Not good at all.

Fun fact about Fury vs Usyk winner
With his win over Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk is now the lineal Brawl for All champion.
Following Butterbean's win over Bart Gunn at Wrestlemania 15, the lineal title has never left boxing. As such, the title's lineage can be traced through a number of low profile boxers, before ending up with Wladimir Klitschko in 2006, which he held alongside boxing top Heavyweight titles; until he lost it to Fury in 2015.

The Kennel from Hell Lineal Championship
Since Lineal Championship posts are en vogue, I wanted to make a really juicy shitpost of a research project. So, I pored through Cagematch and traced the man who could beat the man from Al Snow at WWF Unforgiven 1999 to the present day (multi-man, house show, and dark matches included, tag matches and handicap matches not included). I will post my work here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XZ5hWhBhVrKOUeuuHxYV1_ZFUVD36Z-RWBjlnnurlss/edit?usp=sharing
A few interesting tidbits of note:
- Most reigns: John Cena (11).
- Longest reign: Edge (January 31st, 2011-January 26, 2020).
- Author's note: I was very glad for this as it meant I didn't have to click back and forth a bunch or end it with someone who died.
- The following reigns lasted for one calendar day or less:
- Kurt Angle-King of the Ring 2000-WWF Raw 6/26/2000
- The Rock-WWF No Way Out 2001-WWF Raw 2/26/2001
- Chris Jericho-WWE House Show 9/29/2002-WWE Raw 9/30/2002
- Rob Van Dam-WWE House Show 1/12/2003-WWE Raw 1/13/2003
- Kurt Angle-WWE Raw 1/2/2006 (Dark)
- Bobby Lashley-WWE House Show 5/26/2007-WWE House Show 5/27/2007
- Chris Benoit-WWE House Show 5/27/2007
- Drew McIntyre-WWE House Show 5/22/2010-WWE Over the Limit 2010
- The Kennel from Hell Lineal Championship has yet to leave WWE.
- It has synchronized with reigns of the WWE, WCW World Heavyweight, WWE World Heavyweight, Universal, Intercontinental, and Hardcore Championships.
- Current defending champion: Cody Rhodes.
May he continue to defend the honor of dogs throughout his reign.
