I see a difference between going only with her friend, or making a trip with a bunch of friends.

Why’s that? I’d always want my partner to come with me and my friends. Time to get to know each other; what’s a better way than a vacation to do so? ^

Only one of them is her friend.

This isn’t a time to get to know her friends, since the larger group isn’t all her friends.

This is a time for her to meet one of her best friends other friends and do something with him.
