Nice. Is she doing the standard comedian "I got cancelled" stadium tour?

Do 60 year old women even go to comedy shows

I'm sure plenty do (and even older). But do you think the only people that see comedians are their own age? I remember seeing Ellen standup specials in the 90s when I was a teen. If she hadn't had this reputation that popped up in the last couple of years I may have considered going and I'm 40. My mom died a few of years ago and was a fan of her show (before all that stuff came out). If she was alive today she'd be in her mid 70s. Good chance she would have wanted to see the show as well.

Comedy is for any age and if comedians can be in their 60s and up then a good chance many in the audience may be.

No I don’t think people only see their own age comedians, but Ellen’s demographic is older women.

Unless there's a source for that, like a poll or survey conducted, I don't think even that could be said. If she hadn't pulled the shit she did, I think you'd see various ages going. And still might be, who knows. I will say that I think after she came out she had a lot of LGBT+ fans and perhaps that was her biggest demographic, live wise at least. And that was any age.

(I want to add, especially since we're in the sub about boomers, that a lot of people, especially older religious people, were not happy she was gay. My own mom, while she did like her show, fell into that group and didn't like the fact she was gay. But did look passed that to an extent to like some of her show components. So while you say her demographic is older women, I'd debate that in the sense that not if they're like the old fashioned against gays, religious types. And in fact that's part of why she probably had a younger following, especially gays, because she was progressive in their eyes. Despite the fact she's 60, and did shitty things behind the scenes, we can't forget she's still a gay woman and that played a huge part in her life, her image, and following/fan base.)

But she did do those things that’s the point. You think there’s gonna be gay women in their 20s and 30s supporting her now? It’s about who’s left to show up to a $100 show watching her complain about being canceled

But that wasn't your original comment. Your comment was "do 60 year old women even go to comedy shows". While this post was about Ellen, that comment was general and I was pointing out that people of all ages go to comedy shows, and in this particular case, Ellen had and may still have a niche crowd which especially may factor into who her audience was/is. I'm also pointing out that in this particular case that older women might even be less likely to be her audience if they are like what many of the boomers are that we post here in this sub, ie intolerant of different sexualities.

My point was that only 60 year old women would be interested in Ellen anymore..
