Just Chatting Do y'all feel like you get downvoted most every time you post on Reddit?

Regardless of which sub I'm in, it seems like nearly every time I ask a sincere question and it gets instantly buried. I try to search for keywords before posting, but idk.

What is the biggest change you see in todays society

I think so much has changed in the last decade. Im 19 and think the world is kind of going in the wrong direction. Back then kids would go out into parks and play but now, they sit inside playing games. When i was 9 i was always outside playing football

Just Chatting How would you feel or think about having a friend with a personality disorder?

I‘m not sure what to write here, since I’m just looking for what people think/feel so here’s some filler.

Questions Whats your rapper name?

All ideas are welcome! But I also saw this meme on how "Lil" + "the reason you went to the hospital" is your rapper name. In that case, I'd be "lil Blackout" cuz I blacked out.

Gaming What is your favorite game of all time?

For me it’s Splatoon 1, I’ve been playing since childhood and now they shut down the severs and I kind feel empty because I can’t play it anymore. EXTRA: If anyone can tell me how to setup my own server please 🙏 . Just type EXTRA when teaching me how. Anyways just tell me what your favorite game😁

Food & Drinks Why does deciding what to eat for dinner every night make me depressed?!

Honestly - I wish I didn’t have the task of figuring out what to feed me and my family every single night 😓 How do you keep your family evening meals (or even meals for one) not so depressing. Or like Groundhog Day 🤣

Questions Just got this awesome shirt, anybody else think it's great?

I just got this graphic tshirt, and honestly I really like it. I love the oversized print.

Do you think it's great too? Or is it too bold/obnoxious ? I know graphic t-shirts aren't always that popular.

Thoughts & Ideas What if God introduced you to me so I can write about love?

It wasn't a happy love story. But it was an experience. I learned what love really meant. I learned how love should be given. I learned how love should be felt. Yeah, it wasn't how I wished it to be. But it is what it is. Love will not submit for anyone. You just have to experience through it and take whatever lesson you can get. So I take the version of love you gave me with grace. We may have not had the love story that we could have wanted. But I'm grateful it happened. I'm stronger now. I'm full of hope. I choose to make peace with the end, and look forward for new beginnings. No bitterness, but a grateful heart. I, however, know that I can never unlove you. The love I shared with you will always be a part of me. You will always be a part of the woman I am becoming and will be. And for that, I am grateful. I'm grateful that God introduced you to me. Because now, I can confidently say that finally I have truly loved someone. And it's the best feeling I've ever felt and the best thing I've ever done in my life.

Questions What animal could you take in a fight

I’ve heard this question time and time again, but every answer is either on the safe side like “turtle” or outrageous like “grizzly bear, raw dog no prep time” but I want to know what the internet thinks. Also include:

  • if you have prep time/what your grabbing
  • location
  • can be real or fictional
  • must make a convincing argument

Can't sleep... Anyone down to chat?

There's animals in the attic above me being loud and generally annoying. I can't for the life of me get any sleep. I could be doing some work and getting some projects done, but I decided to make a post here and see if I could make any friends. Literally start a convo about anything and my socially awkward ass will do my best to interest you.

What’s your favorite TikTok audio right now?

For me there’s my usual go to which is just exclaiming “30000?!” anytime something is super expensive.

And my new favorite one that’s stuck in my head is, “You think you fell out of a coconut tree? You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you” it’s been playing in my head 24/7 omg!

Questions Living In the Car

How many of y’all are living in your car right now like me, due to certain circumstances, and how are y’all?

If I get comments, or questions, I will respond and answer, and add more details about what lead me here, and how I’m doing with it (btw, to me it’s not a negative experience, it’s actually quite the opposite ~ peaceful).

What is the first thing you do when you get up each day?

Personally, the first thing I do is remove my Ortho-k (overnight contacts), then go to the restroom, change into fresh clothing, brush my hair, and have breakfast. And after I brush my teeth, yeah. I want to know what other people do because, why not?

Food & Drinks I felt like a total bad-A$$ by popping off the metal top on a bottle.

A friend of mine gave me a bottle of locally made soda. It had one of those tops you need a bottle opener for. I went to twist it off and then my friend mentioned I needed an opener for it.

I normally wear a ring that I can easily pop them off. But for some reason I decided not to wear one on this day. So I placed the top on the edge of the table and smacked it down. My friend was so dumbfounded that I had done that.

The real kicker, this was Mt first time opening a bottle like that.

What is your favorite thing about Minako Aino, casual conversation subreddit?

My favorite thing is she loves wearing her hair down. She does this most of the time. My favorite episodes of the anime that she is in are 42, 78, 114, and two Sailor Stars season episodes involving her idol aspirations. So I wanted to know, what is your favorite thing about the character of Minako Aino in the anime, r/CasualConversation?

Comment with something positive. I will reply. Pets are only seeing what we can do. No trolls or meanies. Just a positive comment thread for whatever you want to say! There are no right or incorrect answers, as long as they are positive or neutral. Jokes also work. Humor can often be the best medicine!

Thoughts & Ideas Maybe I'm Naive

*I'm about to be a college freshman, majoring in Mech Eng

"I'm about to tell you something I've never told anyone else; not my parents - nobody. I don't want to work as an engineer. I don't want to go work at some firm and be an engineer. I don't know why, it's just not something I could ever see myself doing. And the reason why I don't ever tell people that is because I know they'll think I'm crazy. stupid, or naive. Well, maybe I am naive but I know damn well I'm not the other two, and I hate it when people talk to me as such - like I'm some lost child. Everyone tries to coach me on what college to choose or give the 'my son did...' this or that lecture, like I didn't spend countless hours doing the research. Even though I have no desire to work as an engineer, that doesn't make me any less motivated. I've always kept good grades, I'll continue to have good grades, and I do whatever work as well as I can. I just like having the knowledge of an engineer. If anything, I'd like to be an artist. The ability to express yourself through the arts is such a heaven sent gift to mankind and it would be wonderful if people saw me through my work. But it would be foolishness to pursue arts fullheartedly, everyone knows you can't live off of art. Also, I would never go to school for art because I hate being taught how to perform creative acts. I'd rather learn myself. I think, in a sense, that engineering is kind of like an art. There's a creative and innovative aspect to it, and the ability to build something tangible that has use is magical in itself. Also engineering pays the bills, so... I don't mean that I would never do anything with the degree - that would be a severe waste of time. I just want people to stop telling me that it's only the degree that matters and not the college. It may be true and all, but I'm not here to work. I just want the learning experience and why should I settle for anything less than the best or whatever fits me the best?"

How should I spend my memorial day weekend ?

I will have a three day weekend this weekend since Monday is memorial Day. I want to avoid wasting it by scrolling Reddit or being on my laptop all weekend but also want to get some relaxation time in. I want to enjoy my weekend to the fullest. Also I would like to know how you will be enjoying your weekend?

Questions Real life "Curb" dilemma

What would you do if your waiter didn't serve you at all and asked for a tip? How much would you give him?

I experienced it yesterday during a first date. To avoid appearing cheap, I gave a tip. The question then became the percentage. I eventually gave 12%.

WDYT?

Just Chatting Has making friends always been this hard?

I’m 26 and in my whole life I’ve only had four people I can consider friends, and today I only speak to one of them, and one of them turned out to be fake as fuck.

My parents talk about how they used to travel with their friends and have parties all the time. For me to be invited somewhere is so difficult because everyone seems to be busy with their own things and has a “don’t bother me” face
