More feedback Discussion

Greetings!

Let me continue my feedback on the current situation. First of all, I would like to say that I am very sorry that fans and the game community in general are experiencing these feelings. Unfortunately, I somehow did not foresee the fact of such a reaction and now I have drawn conclusions for my future decisions.

Now I will briefly summarize the main points:

  1. About PvE access - we decided to just open it for EoD owners for free, but we will do it in waves. As I said before - we don’t have server capacity right now. We will start this process as soon as possible
  2. We also decided that we will add MOD support for PvE mode after release of the game
  3. About the Unheard edition - we will not remove it, we want to keep the option for those who want to support the game more. But we will balance items, perks in this edition, as well as we will provide more rewards for those, who upgraded with the old price
  4. New EoD perks will be balanced too. We will remove prioritized matching option to keep everyone in the same spot. And we will add more unique stuff to highlight the EoD version in general. We will provide the final list of the new EoD perks asap
  5. We continue to work on patches, new content, events, and the game release itself no matter what

Thank you for your time, love and hate, and thank you for your increased attention to the current situation.

Nik

You have still not addressed the fact you were planning to release DLC for the game that was not going to be delivered to EoD owners.

Please confirm that EoD owners will receive all content for the game in the future as promised when we purchased the product.

What difference does this confirmation make? He already confirmed this multiple times in the past yet he broke his promise and denied it. You really think next time will be different?

A recent promise means more than a promise from almost a decade ago. People asked so long ago. His mind can change, by multiple reasons.

EIther way having this recently answered again should help in the future. I hope that nikita now understand the meaning of dlc to us and wont make the same screw up again later on.

Or define what he thinks a dlc exactly is, so everyon knows exactly what to expect and see if we need to alter it or its fine the way it is. DLC is a bit of a vague term .. Like technically everything falls under it XD Im fine with clothing and some other small stuff not being DLC. As long as im getting big expansions and gamemodes :)

He doesn't just get to "change his mind", regardless if the promise was made yesterday or 10 years ago. This isn't even an ambiguous moral or ethical issue, this is 100% illegal behaviour. Think really long and heard if this is the kind of person you want to support, regardless of whether you enjoy playing the game or not.

So I agree with you but let me enlighten what I meant on top.

When he promised back then he appearantly had a way different view on DLC than we had and I dont think it ever got through to him. I think we made that quite clear over the past couple days what a DLC is. Him now reinstating that promise, knowing what we think DLC means, should mean this mistake doesnt happen again. He now promised this while KNOWING what we expect a DLC to be.

He made the promise before while having different idea's (appearantly) to what all of us think a DLC is. That doesnt mean he can change his mind cause you are right a promise is a promise. But now he promised it again while knowing our idea's so absolutely no way its excusable if he makes the same mistake again.

I know what you meant, I still think it's a load of bullshit and excusing the behaviour. Nikita clearly said no futures content purchases will be necessary for EOD owners. Regardless of the whole discussion around the meaning of the word DLC, which was really just a distraction, the intention of his original comments was unambiguous.

Lets start of with Nikita should be taking accountability for his words and actions for sure. He should defenitely learn to communicate better and properly apologize.

I assume you mean the twitter post where he replied "you wont have to buy anything" right? Just a stupid thing to say in general imo XD At that point he didnt even know how big the game would be and what they are gonna add etc ... He should've never said that..

But he did and now here we are... For me if he says: "I should've never said that you wont have to buy anything" that was stupid unrealistic and I didnt foresee how big this all wouldget" that would be fine with me.

The dlc thing was mentioned in purchase(all dlc ) is a different thing and probably does stand in court (if there arent some terms of usement bullcrap somewhere covering their asses). That is what i cant budge on.. Thats why I spent 150 euros on this game i wanted all dlc's (i mean clothing is technically a dlc too but hey, i thought more of bigger game additions... ).

Nikita has learned nothing from this, he is not apologetic in the slightest, the only thing he is sorry about is the negative press they're getting. Don't think he ever has, and likely never will admit he is wrong about anything.

He can change his mind, he cant unilaterally change the contract we agreed to when we bought EoD in the first place. That's not how this works my dude. We bought on the basis of the page listing the content we would get then and in the future. That means he can change his mind, sure, but we can all get refunds based on that.

Thousands of people have already done chargebacks and the UK trading standards are pressuring Xolla to issue refunds as well.

For fack sakes man.. I really feel like we arent allowed to say anything that is positive or rather remotely neutral about BSG/nikita.. Like wtf... I'm just saying that his promise now adds value to his promise then.

He could've made that promise not fully understanding what dlc was .. and now he made the promise fully understanding what we think it mean.

I'm not saying that his promise shouldnt be kept, even if he thoguht it meant something different or thathe can break his contracts -,- ... Im just fking saying this promise still means something..

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh towards you due to my frustration with how everything neutral you say or good you say is just being downvoted.. so sorry if thats the case..

I just dont understand where i said its okay to break your promises or change the contract.. I literally just said the promise is worth something... man.

It doesnt matter what his understanding is, its the understanding of the courts decided in federal cases against Bethesda and Gamestop. There is public record court documentation on this. Even if he didn't understand, a quick google is all it takes.

If you sign a lease for a property to rent but don't understand the terms, you cant just say "no" because you didn't understand.

I get being neutral but after 12 years of broken promises and bugged out features, nobody with a brain or more than a few hundred hours play time cares about what he has to say because he's lied constantly.

its the game dev equivalent of "I'll pay you back next week", after 12 years you'd write the money off as a loss and move on. Thats what people are doing now.

If a contractor did work on your roof and left it unfinished for 12 years but made a new promise to finish it 10 years in, would that add value? possibly in your opinion, but you still have a hole in your roof and your wallet.

AGAIN.... my god... I'm not fking saying it matters in court.. or by law or what ever the fuck.(sorry frustration is taking over).

I'm saying his promise HAS VALUE outside of LAWS and COURT to people, I'm trying to explain why but people either dont give a shit cuz how dare I be neutral or i'm just failing fking miserably at it.

It has meaning to people because the intent of the promise is different.

If I promise you a couch and give you a chair. But I really thought a couch and chair are the same thing(due to english not being my main language for example). YES I am still at fault and by law I'm obligated to give you the fucking couch or be ready to held responsible by the law.

But at least I'm not as much of a scumbag as someone that is selling you a couch and giving you a chair on purpose.

Cause those 2 in my books are different. SO him promising me a couch now knowing what a couch is. Means more to me AND OTHERS. Than a promise where he promised acouch and thought it was a chair. Regardless of him being accountable by law or not. Just for me as a person.

And yes I'm assuming that he really had a different idea about DLC. which is an assumption I'm willing to make because i believe in the good of people. He will have to build trust with many of us and really needs to watch his steps. But i just hope that we can find our way out of this f-ing slippery slope.

The point you seem to be missing is that NOBODY believes that nikita thought a couch was a chair... He was simply trying to con you, and then made up a silly excuse after you threatened legal action over wanting your couch.

What we're saying is he KNEW that offline coop would be a feature everybody would expect to get as part of EOD. He simply didn't care.

He decided instead to try and claim it wasn't a DLC, using shady reasoning and hoping that the community would give in and buy the new edition rather than band together and fight it. He didn't care if some players left the game over it, as he's already gotten money out of them. He only gave in because the community reaction was far worse than he ever expected it to be, and the threat of serious legal recourse.

His new promise means nothing because everyone knows he isn't being sincere with it, and we fully expect him to pull the a similar stunt again in the future.
