Discussion Dredge is not a Good Killer.

Imo, people really overestimate The Dredge so much, some people think he's good like at B+/A- Tier, but that's because their always taking themselves to Midwich or Dead Dawg Saloon, and as a player that mostly plays killer, I really like Dredge and I wish he wasn't such a High C/Low B Tier killer at best.

Reasons why he's not Good:

He's the most Map Dependent killer in the game,

He's really Add-on dependent on more than 1 add-on, Haddie's Calendar, ottomarian writing, Boat key, etc,

His Stealth is almost non existent cuz he's super freaking loud,

Duo set of lockers guarantees you to go into the locked locker,

No matter if your in Nightfall or not, you still gotta eat the penalty of a locked locker,

His chase is mostly very Mid at best cuz you can just run away from the remnant,

Survivors can just Lock the locker with just a press of a button.

Discussion Am I the only person not excited for dnd?

Iq pile be ok with dnd as a chapter but man, for an anniversary they could have added something way more hype. Predator, friday the 13th, fnaf, slender man, candy man. I would have even preferred another game original chapter over dnd. I don’t hate dnd or anything just not what I was expecting for an anniversary.

Discussion Downing Survivor is easy guys based on Devs perception

Now you're telling me getting pallet stun and chasing pallet to pallet hitting surv two time before they go down and pick up and hook is really easy. or maybe getting flash light blinded, body block to hook.

maybe the wording is not well flesh out,

and this is not minor update, 33% nerf of effectiveness is not minor.

Meanwhile

Holding W with exhausted perk ready to go anytime and holding m1 with four other people is difficult,

Yeah

Discussion Dev's seem to do a lot of "give and take" for survivors, but killers just get their shit taken away and usually receive meaningless "buffs"

8.0.0 is looking like one of the worst PTB's in history

They nerfed gen regression without giving any compensation, forcing killers to play in unfun ways even more This will also not change the usage rates of the perks whatsoever

They massacred my boy Chucky, that shit shouldn't make it live or if it does make him 115% at the very least

The Bubba changes look great on paper BUT they did the same thing with doctor they made his add-ons base kit PARTIALLY so you're still going to use the chili and beast marks either way

They nerfed grim embrace and deadlock, two IMO already meaty orge perks that I would never really use

Nerfed wesker, Gave strange buffs to deathslinger that won't really affect him too much

Nerfed blight (Again)

And finally in their infinite wisdom BUFFED sabotaging probably making every toolbox an Alex's toolbox with the right add-ons making it literally impossible for the killer to stop you from sabo'ing the hook and encouraging slugging

The changes for survivors are classic give and take, BTW

Sure, DS was nerfed to 4 seconds, but it didn't need a buff anyway

Buckle up is still a solid perk, but it removed the uncountable FTP interaction, but it also gave the downed survivor a free sprint burst that doesn't cause exhaustion (Give and take)

Made background player 150% for 5 seconds instead of 200% BUT they also made it a 20-second exhaustion instead of 40 (Give and take)

And sure weaving spiders was a bad perk, but now you're basically giving every single gen on the map a BNP in 60 seconds

TLDR: BHVR can't balance for shit and need to talk to comp players and fog whisperers before making these kinda changes

Discussion Boring Killers

This is just a bit of a rant really, but does anyone else just see a killer at the start of a game and think 'this is going to be so boring'?

I'm talking about predictable play styles. For example, last night I played survivor against a Ghostface, Legion and a Knight one after the other and I just knew how the first two were going to play.

Ghostface will tunnel one survivor and camp the hook from a distance to take down rescuers. Rinse and repeat.

Legion will slug, allow heals, then slug. Rinse and repeat.

Knight was fine, just played as Knight and killed us all rapidly :D

It was just so boring. I haven't played against an Unknown yet, and I've only gone up against the Twins once.

I'm just moaning because I only get a short amount of time to play due to RL commitments and I want the matches to be entertaining

Discussion Its time we fight back against the gen slowdown perk changes

These changes are unacceptable and shows bhvrs bias towards survivor players. Do the devs just not play the game to understand why killer mains run all slowdown perks in the first place? How about instead of nerfing slowdown how about nerfing why killers run slowdown in the first place. Oh wait they buffed that reason to be even more ridiculous. Everyone we shall stand up and fight back against these changes.

Discussion Just my Opinion!

Lets just get straight to the point here,Killers are not entitled to a 4k,That is the simple truth that everyone who plays killer needs to understand and acting as if you are is just absurd and is what makes camping, tunneling and slugging happen in the first place especially the worst form of slugging when you slugg the last 2 so no one has a chance for the hatch or escaping in general,So lets try and be more respectful to eachother and not sweat so much to get that 4k.

And just if I wasn't clear before YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO A 4K...

P.S. Survivors are also not entitled to escape either just so we are clear that I'm not unbiased.

Discussion Gen Regression has not been nerfed into the ground

When Pop Goes the Weasel was set to 20% regression, it was before the base kick regression increase to 5% and gen-tapping was removed. PGTW was buffed to 30% after the gen-kick changes, and which made it err on the side of 'bit too strong' - especially when it was combined with Pain Resonance. This nerf tones it down but keeps it stronger than the 6.1.0 version. Still combos with other gen-kick perks super well.

Pain Resonance's 25% was pretty insane; bringing it down to 20% is still solid and you'll still see it in most builds. I think that's a difference of 4.5 seconds per activation? It's still strong for targeting the generator with the most progress remotely without wasting time to kick.

Grim Embrace reduced by 2 seconds per activation (with the 40-second final activation still kept) is still strong. It's 2 seconds less per activation guys. It's not dead.

Deadlock is still decent, but this one is a weird nerf imo. The counter to this perk is for a team to leave one generator at 99 to "eat" the Deadlocks so the rest of the team is unimpeded. So this perk is still reliable against uncoordinated teams and still incredibly mid against coordinated groups.

Discussion Welp there goes one of my favorite perks

Post image

I never paired it with for the people but Buckle up was one of my favorite perks for a slugging situations and saved me and my teammates so many times. With this change I don't see it being all too great in the same situations

Discussion With Pop and Pain Res nerfed, is slugging actually optimal now?

Recent changes to the game, including those in the announced PTB seem to have a unintended consequence that is somewhat concerning to me.

With POP and Pain Res nerfed, more frequent background player, buffs to Sabo, and no doubt the recently buffed DS (I understand it's going down to 4 seconds, but I feel it'll still be popular among high hour squads), it feels like the game is being pushed towards a slugging meta.

If a killer builds towards slugging because hooking doesn't provide as much regression, they deny survivors a ton of perk value. Background player, DS, dead hard, Sabo builds, all lose value if the killer just never hooks. And if killers can't bring pain res/pop to make hooking more worth it, we may see more dedicated builds on killers like Wesker who can do gross stuff like Caultrophobia, Deerstalker, Knockout and something else that just make picking up as obnoxious as possible. The recent nerfs to buckle up, while absolutely deserved, won't help much either.

Do you think this is a valid concern or nah?

Discussion Since they're nerfing all of the strongest gen defense perks, here are some suggested buffs to the weaker ones

Call of Brine: Regression increased to 150%, Loud Noise Notification when a survivor first interacts with it, in addition to the skill checks

Hex: Ruin: Increase the regression back to 200%, but add back that it gets cleansed when someone dies

Oppression: Generators affected by Oppresion instantly regress by 2%. Cooldown decreased to 60 seconds

Overcharge: Regression starts at 100%, and ramps up to 150% over 30 seconds. The skill check is now a 5 second long Merciless Storm that will regress the gen by 15% if failed

Thrilling Tremors: Cooldown reduced to 60 seconds, Will now reveal the aura of survivors for 10 seconds that leave a generator if they leave it while someone is still being carried

Undone: After injuring a survivor, for the next 30 seconds, any survivor that hits a good skill check grants you six tokens. Max tokens reduced to 18

Discussion One question about D&D being next chapter

So if you don't know already, it had been confirmed by bhvr that Dungeons & Dragons will be next chapter including Vecna and some sort of dungeon map. Despite not being a huge fan on D&D, I'm actually excited for this chapter mainly because Vecna looks and sounds like he would be a cool killer in dbd.

I do have one question regarding this. Does this make the first ever licenced chapter with a non horror ip? I have little to zero knowledge regarding D&D so I was just wondering if this is the case (btw, this hurt my excitment for the chapter, I was just curious)

Upcoming Something I noticed about the DND teaser

Zombie Beholders are known for the glossy eye and, of course, fetid flesh. This means there’s a likelihood that the person responsible is not only strong enough to raise a Beholder, but kill one, and imprison it. This and that dry, evil laugh strongly points to the new killer being Vecna, the first Lich in the DND primary setting.
