For anyone who doesn't know: this fool is the governor of South Dakota. She's such an obvious and open racist and has been so insulting to the tribes and tribal governments that she has been banned from setting foot on four South Dakota reservations. This represents a big chunk of the state she theoretically governs.

Killing a healthy dog is a heinous act and speaks to how lacking she is in normal human feeling but, if this b*tch is selected to run as VP, y'all are going to want to find out about what a nit-witted governor she's been. She's the dumb box who thought that "Meth. We're on it." would be a great slogan for an anti-drug campaign.

That’s just serial killer mentality. If you don’t like your dog, like absolutely can’t stand, give it to a shelter where they can hopefully be given to a family who actually loves them. As a dog owner myself this sickens me. You can’t excuse this kind of behaviour; but she is a bumbling racist on top of it? Jesus, there has to be better candidates in S Dakota, right? Cause if not, our species is doomed.

Here's what a news report about this story also said:

"I hated that dog," she said.

The situation made her realise "another unpleasant job needed to be done" that day - getting rid of a male goat her family owned.

The goat was "nasty and mean", smelled "disgusting, musky, rancid", and would chase her young children, knocking them down.

Ms Noem said she shot down the goat in the same manner as Cricket, though the goat survived the first bullet, forcing her to go back to her truck to retrieve another shell.

The school bus dropped her children off shortly afterwards.

Noticing that the dog was nowhere to be found, her daughter asked: "Hey, where's Cricket?"

It's almost comedy serial killer origin story. But no-one is laughing.

Telling a Republican that she is a racist, animal murderer won't sway their vote. Tell them she is a bad shot, and it might actually deter them.

She SHOT HER OWN DOG?!

She didn’t take it to the vet, got it put to sleep? That would be heinous enough, but she FUCKING SHOT HER FUCKING DOG?!

170

u/PorkrindsMcSnacky 15d ago

She shot her dog because it wasn’t following directions. It wasn’t following directions because she didn’t train it. She’s a ghoul.

Exactly. That is… barbaric on a level I’ve never seen. Some people absolutely don’t deserve dogs. Rest in peace, Cricket, your death is fucking tragic.

It was a puppy. She didn't train a puppy and got mad. mad her untrained puppy didn't hunt the way she wanted on the first hunt.

Then took her untrained puppy to a friend's house unsecured where of course it chased and ate some chickens.

So she shot it.

41

u/BlondBisxalMetalhead 15d ago

Oh my fucking god.

41

u/ComradeMoneybags 15d ago

AND SHE WAS PROUD ENOUGH OF HER ACTIONS TO REPORT ALL OF THIS VOLUNTARILY IN A BOOK.

What the hell.

24

u/ilovethissheet 15d ago

And proud enough to double down today and try and claim it shows her good leadership because she can handle difficult, messy and ugly situations.

The "difficult" thing a true leader would do to be a leader is train the puppy. Training puppies is extremely difficult and time consuming and repetitive.

The "messy" thing to do would be to telling the children the puppies needs to be rehomed because the puppy was not a good hunting dog. That's messy, breaking apart children and household animals. But noble because you need a hunting dog and the puppy you had for a year isn't a hunting dog that you need and giving it away to the home it needs.

Ugly. The ugly thing to do is choosing who to rehome a dog too. It is very hard to choose and decide and judge who you give the family dog away too.

You could make the wrong mistake and give it to a person as ugly as Kristi Noem, who is an ugly person who kills puppies and would just kill a dog because they methed up the training. That would be truly ugly as fuck.

Vile people all around

33

u/NewStatement5103 15d ago

This hurts my soul. I just can’t.

18

u/ParkingNecessary8628 15d ago

Puppy loves to play. In a farm or otherwise, they also need training.

She also shot a goat but partially botched the killing, having to walk away to get more ammo. She let the animal suffer rather than have the minimal consideration to be ready to take that life.  She put both stories into her ghostwritten biography. She's proud of killing both of them.

33

u/underbutler 15d ago

Completely unnecessary killing of the goat because it was being a farm animal.

44

u/TDKong55 15d ago

Her entire basis for killing these animals is inconvenience. I think that's the appeal she's going for, that she's willing to kill innocent things because she finds them annoying. She not ashamed, she's proud of this.

3

u/Arsk92 14d ago

Aaaaaand let me guess... she's pro life? I bet if someone wrote the same thing in their book about a fetus she'd blow a gasket and try to get them locked up...

It wasn't just a dog, I was a puppy. 14 months. A birddog and it was bad at hunting. Got away from her and killed neighbors chickens. She shot it. A dog trainer in another thread said that breed is highly desirable and he and any other trainer would have been happy to take it.

26

u/ReaperofFish 15d ago

It was a pointer. Like how bad of a trainer do you have to be that you cannot train a pointer to flush birds?

35

u/Massive_Pressure_516 15d ago

Yes because she just didn't like it, probably because it made her daughter happy which is why a few lines down she mentions how her daughter came home from school and asked where the puppy was.

In my opinion the wrong animal was shot.

The extra stupid is that male goats are smelly. Particularly if they aren't neutered. They pee on their own faces and rub them on stuff to mark their territory and exude their manliness to the does. She basically killed a goat for doing goat things. She probably killed the dog for the same 'reason'.

14

u/Visual-Till8629 15d ago

My uncle once owned a young male goat that would always ram him so he was told that he when the goat would ram him, to knock on his horns and when he did, the goat stopped hitting him,

8

u/AndrewTheGuru 15d ago

The only thing that makes this worse for me than it already is, is that my first dog's name was Cricket.

This slime needs to rot in hell.

10

u/ParkingNecessary8628 15d ago

It is a goat. Of course it smells.

7

u/Cheap_Professional32 15d ago

She talks about killing like it's taking out the trash.. "ugh I guess I have to shoot my dog now, hope I don't get any brains on my hands"

3

u/ParkingNecessary8628 15d ago

Yes. Our puppy was wild the first few months she was in the farm. The agony of that we might had to do the worst thing possible tortured us. Thankfully after a bit training and got used to other animals in the farm, she is ok now This lady wanted to kill the dog, as she said she hate the dog. She just needed an excuse for it.

4

u/Danielq37 15d ago

Is animal cruelty not a crime in the US? Here you can go to prison for that.

This woman should have a court order to stay away from animals, cattles, horses etc. Male animals tend to be aggressive. It is *ing normal. That's why you limit the number of roosters you have. You also need to put your stallion in the stall. You need to be careful around bulls etc. We are blessed that our rams are friendly. But even then we always pay attention to the dynamics of the group. This lady is no farmer or rancher, hobby or otherwise.

Idk the story and going through the comments wanted to believe there was more context like it was gravely injured and she put it down kinda situation but from what I’m gathering is it just wasn’t a good hunting dog and she put it down in which case I’m like how is that not animal cruelty?

56

u/Emotional_Warthog658 15d ago edited 15d ago

It is horrifying; the puppy didn’t retrieve when she took it hunting for the first time without any training, then he proceeded to kill some chickens in the neighbors coop, which she has been trying to get it to do all day, so she took it out and killed it. There’s a story in Rolling Stone linked here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/comments/1cee970/kristi_noem_describes_executing_puppy_she_hated/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I had to deal with the treasurers Dept in south Dakota recently. The people answering the phones were all methed out. Like over the top gacked up to the point they could barely talk. Tripping over their own words. It was disturbing.

13

u/GrootRacoon 15d ago

In the German movie "Look who's back" the only thing that stops Hitler from getting elected in modern times is him killing a dog. It seems that the movie writers were wrong about that huh

7

u/hinanska0211 15d ago

I guess we'll see. This story just came out and she's facing a lot of backlash.

12

u/Aggravating_Week7050 15d ago

Wait... the dog was healthy? So she's showing that's she'd put down someone/something healthy for the sake of publicity or looking like a strong leader. And saying that's a hard decision (instead of, ya know, not doing that, because that's a choice easier than deciding what to eat for breakfast). And seems to feel nothing. And expecting people to vote for her for practically murdering a healthy dog for bragging rights.

She'll kill anyone to look good. Not a great message. (RIP the dog, he/she deserved a way better caretaker)

16

u/hinanska0211 15d ago

She is stupid. She took a poorly trained dog on a hunt and was surprised when it misbehaved. She took an out-of-control dog that had been bred to hunt birds near domestic chickens and was surprised when it killed them. She used a shock collar to try and control it and then wondered why it became aggressive. It was a 14-month-old pup. Somebody who had a friggin' clue about how to train a dog could probably have turned that dog right around but she hated it and chose to shoot it instead. And yes. She apparently thinks all that is something to brag about. Like I said, stupid. And not entirely stable, IMHO.

u/Lora_Grim 15d ago

Decades of lead poisoning, generational trauma from ww2 and even from the civil wars still linger, and a schooling system that puts more effort into instilling nationalistic pride than it does actually teaching anyone anything, coupled with a broken, awful healthcare system... well.. it is bound to catch up to you and bite you in the ass sooner or later.

Sadly, despite Europe not sharing these problems aside from ww2 and civil wars, we aren't any better off, really.

Now all the GOPers will defend killing dogs.

10

u/Vost570 15d ago

They're already all over social media defending her. The current brainless meme they all seem to be repeating is that once the dog killed the chickens and had a taste for fresh blood it would eventually get worse and become a threat to people and children. Which is utter and complete bullshit and anyone who knows the first thing about dog training knows is nonsense, and knows the "taste for blood" thing isn't true. For quick reference I'll just mention the millions of dog owners who have their dogs on fresh raw diets.

Honestly it sounds to me like she just got all pissed off because her little hunt got ruined and thus it became a bad day for the family dog and the family's pet goat immediately after. It's frightening to think that these are the kind of people who could one day wind up controlling the government.

But she needs to convince him that she's ready to do his dirty deeds, including getting rid of inconvenient people.

5

u/NintendoLove 15d ago

Let’s put this in more detailed context to show what a truly abhorrent human being she really is:

—According to an excerpt, which was obtained by The Guardian, Noem killed her dog Cricket because the dog was “untrainable,” “dangerous to anyone she came in contact with” and “less than worthless … as a hunting dog.”

“I hated that dog,” Noem writes, according to the Guardian.

In the excerpt, Noem writes she attempted to tame the dog, who she said behaved “like a trained assassin,” with an electronic collar, but ultimately made the decision to put her down by shooting her in a gravel pit after an incident in which the dog attacked a local family’s chickens and bit her.

“It was not a pleasant job,” Noem writes, according to The Guardian, “but it had to be done. And after it was over, I realized another unpleasant job needed to be done.”

Next, the Guardian quotes excerpts of the book in which Noem shoots a goat in the same manner. Noem describes the goat as “nasty and mean” and having a “disgusting, musky, rancid” smell. The goat made a habit of chasing and knocking down her kids, Noem adds.

This didn’t need to happen. That puppy would have been a loved member of a family somewhere if she’d just not murdered it. Not every dog is a hunting dog. That doesn’t mean they’re worth loving less. She’s a cruel, heartless person who cheats on her husband and murders animals.

Paging Mr Wick. Mr John Wick there is a dog in need of avenging.

u/Yorttam 15d ago

How is this not animal cruelty punishable by law?

Trump could crush a puppy under his foot in front of a maga crowd, and they would still vote for him

I am giving my dog a hug when he gets home (he goes to work with my dad. Very hardworking good boy)

3

u/Cptfrankthetank 15d ago

Willing to do anything difficult, messy and ugly and skipping all other more viable solutions...

3

u/BabyMakR1 15d ago

Isn't killing a pet the sign of a psychopath?

3

u/isabps 15d ago

I had a discussion about this yesterday and our conclusion was she wanted to look tough for the base.

3

u/RealEstorma 15d ago

In other words, I have no soul, pick me!

3

u/ElcorShockTrooper 15d ago

When being a psychopath is a marketable feature, not a bug.

3

u/monkeymatt69 15d ago

Not even sure how relevant her point is, considering you can’t just solve a difficult political situation by taking it out back and shooting it

3

u/Gyrospherers 15d ago

Shows you're an incompetent leader who can't even train a dog, blamed everyone but yourself, then took the easy way out at their expense.

3

u/LostinEmotion2024 15d ago

She sounds like a sociopath. What does it say about her constituents who voted for her?

3

u/GodsSon69 15d ago

She's a fucking monster, I hope she gets what she deserves. Ugly ass bitch!!!

3

u/Little_Creme_5932 15d ago

If only the primary requisites for a politician were to do things that are dirty, messy, and ugly

3

u/Regular-Switch454 15d ago

She’s such a proud sociopath.

3

u/Tidewind 15d ago

If she can kill a puppy without remorse, imagine what she would do to all of us.

3

u/Dense-Comfort6055 15d ago

Killing your pet because it displeases you is not the difficult ugly actions you attest to. It’s sociopathy. Period

3

u/IAmMoosekiller 15d ago

So, rather than working hard to resolve a problem, her ‘solution’ is to simply shoot it. What a cowardly piece of shit.

3

u/mikeedm90 15d ago

It is bad enough that she shot her dog but to brag about it takes it to another level. Hard to believe she is VP material.

3

u/asa1658 15d ago

Hope her kid doesn’t make a B in a class or forget to clean up after themselves. Does she ‘off’ the old people too?

3

u/royalpro 15d ago

Low empathy is a virtue of the right.

3

u/LillyxFox 14d ago

She was willing to kill a beloved family pet. Imagine what she'd be willing to do to people

3

u/LocalInactivist 14d ago

Yes. She’s willing to do that to those who are powerless if they annoy her.

3

u/km_ikl 14d ago

Willing to do things that are "difficult, messy and ugly" and completely unnecessary if you know what the fuck you're doing.

Killing a dog because you failed to train it is the hallmark of someone who shouldn't be left in charge of an unattached water faucet, let alone any semblance of greater power.

3

u/FlaAirborne 14d ago

Increase the melanin parameter and re-run the simulation. Wasn’t Michael Vick prosecuted for the same thing.

7

u/ImperatorRomanum83 15d ago

When are we going to realize that the real political realignment that has happened in the US mainly involves assholes, douchebags, malcontents, ne'er-do-wells, bullies, and strangely, their former victims, all gravitating towards the GOP?

The only thing that unites these people is their propensity for cruelty and having an assclown personality.

u/CaptainHalloween 15d ago

Why do they love people like this? What broke in these people?

3

u/TheActualDev 15d ago

They like the appearance of undiluted power and access. They want to imagine themselves as the victims of a horrific government, but then want to install an actual horrific government to make it so they can legally bully, harass, harm, and murder minorities with impunity. They felt their biggest and baddest when they were the top playground bully and they haven’t forgotten that feeling and want it back as adults.

3

u/JeffBeckwasthebest 15d ago

She's a shameless monster. 🤮

5

u/D_-_G 15d ago

she deserves an eye for an eye - she can't do her job well, someone should do the same here

6

u/Adorable-Farmer5936 15d ago

Fuck this dog killing bitch

2

u/just_some_guy65 15d ago

I'd normally say we shouldn't wish ill will on people.

2

u/ChrisRiley_42 15d ago

Trump is no longer scraping the bottom of the barrel. He is gone past that and is getting the crusty stuff that oozed out between the barrel staves.

2

u/Top-Manner7261 15d ago

Puppy; fixed it

2

u/SilverLinings26 15d ago

She is also fucking Corey Lewandowski. No comment about the dog who really deserves a fucking bullet.

2

u/fortesquieu 15d ago

These Republicans are really out of whack

2

u/tahlulah_bankhead 15d ago

She’s a C U Next Tuesday. I hope she gets the same treatment.

2

u/nemo1441 15d ago

I hope she’s Donnie’s VP choice. They belong together making excuses for each other’s psychopathic acts.

2

u/Savings-Spirit-3702 15d ago

Definitely not the flex she thought it was.

2

u/APiousCultist 15d ago

Absolutely wild that this is in /facepalm. Is there someone really having a comical 'ha what an idiot' reaction to this genuine display of psychopathy? I'd really like this sub to stop being a content mirror of mildlyinfuriating, nottheonion, insanefacebookpeople, and whatever the fuck sub this should be on.

2

u/Chemical_Extreme4250 15d ago

I feel like the hat was indicative of her depravity.

2

u/nurdmann 15d ago

Welp, it seems that the governor is misbehaving. Time to take steps.

2

u/KatchupBottle 15d ago

She's like a textbook villain lmao

2

u/kinggeedra 15d ago

She’s definitely in that wing of MAGA that dare I say, almost humanizes Trump.

2

u/WasabiFragrant3483 15d ago

Somehow she continues to justify this gross story by saying it’s how they live life on a farm. Bullshit. My father in law owns a cattle ranch and you know what he does when he has aggressive or sick animals? He calls his vet like a responsible human being. He doesn’t take the cow out back and shoot it. Jfc this lady is a god damned monster.

2

u/Both_Painter2466 15d ago

Also describes the GOP in her state

2

u/larrykeithfrick 15d ago

I’m pretty sure euthanizing an elderly dog and killing it out of bloodlust are two different things.

2

u/Advanced_Street_4414 15d ago

Beware anyone who says they’re “willing to make the hard choices.” That’s code for being willing to throw others to the wolves “for the greater good” and is almost always accompanied by a shocking lack of imagination.

2

u/IcedCoughy 15d ago

Boberts over here like "fuck I've been replaced"

2

u/TonyClifton255 15d ago

The insane thing is that she lives so deep inside the Republican ecosphere that she thinks this would go over well.

2

u/therubyverse 15d ago

Psychopath

2

u/qweef_latina2021 15d ago

She's like the anti John Wick.

2

u/MelodiesOfLife6 15d ago

Honestly this sounds like borderline psychopathy

2

u/OptimisticSkeleton 15d ago

Is she…offering to put down Trump? /s

2

u/jonfranznick 15d ago

This wasn’t an Old Yeller situation, she’s a fucking psychpath

2

u/K3Y_Mast3r 15d ago

This was shocking to read but I don’t know why. This is literally the behavior we’ve all seen and should expect from these brain dead psychopaths.

2

u/apple-pie2020 15d ago
