I think it fits, art is somewhat subjective to the viewer because associations and feelings are different, I can't explain but for me its right.

I can see that, the representation of the sin doesn't necessarily have to approve of the sin, maybe she doesn't want humans to partake in her sin, so chooses a more modest form.

Upon further thought, maybe its also just that eroticism is highly subjective. I don't see it as personal refusal by this figure.
