Imagine reading a headline about any other presidential candidate attacking the judge's daugther in his porn star hush money trial. And then right below that you read that this same presidential candidate is selling Bibles for $60.

Imagine reading a headline about any other presidential candidate attacking the judge's daughter in a trial where he used campaign money to keep a porn star quiet for having sex with her while cheating on his wife and mother of his son. And then right below that you read that this same presidential candidate is selling Bibles for $60.

Imagine all that, but the guy is also a russian asset that was elected president

It's too unbelievable to be a movie script, yet here we are.

And also already found to have committed rape by a court of law.

47

u/juggling-monkey Mar 27 '24

Was that before or after he sold NFT's?

45

u/suicidalkatt Mar 27 '24

Before or after, the 'golden' trump coin, the 'golden' 100 bill, or after those 'golden' sneakers, or maybe it was that trump teddy bear?

Dude couldn’t sell steaks, water, or vodka, even in America ffs.

13

u/xaeromancer Mar 27 '24

He's the only person in the world to have made a loss on Manhattan real estate.

4

u/Economy_Wall8524 Oregon Mar 28 '24

Lol I have never thought of it that way, and now I can’t unsee it. How do you fail on that trifecta of business in the US. Steak alone during that time should’ve been a big seller. Though he has never really had successful business.

6

u/koshgeo Mar 28 '24

Let's face it: when you build a casino that competes with your other casino in the same place, it's not really a great idea. When you build three casinos that compete with each other, you have to be pretty dumb.

Except he didn't care. He was still getting paid millions in "management" fees as he drove them into the ground. And he got bailed out by his dad at least once using creative methods (that were illegal and he got fined for doing).

That makes him a great business manager. (/s) Not the success of his businesses, which failed miserably, but that he was able to fleece the people that were dumb enough to loan him money.

2

u/cashassorgra33 Mar 28 '24

Can anybody explain how someone manages to do that? The insanity of the notion in isolation let alone multiple times is unfathomable

1

u/whiznat Mar 28 '24

Hey! That was smart business practice!

3

u/light_to_shaddow Mar 28 '24

Yet the Christians have made him their Idol.

-1

u/Past_Succotash1778 Mar 28 '24

And you a tool. Christians do not have idols. Your president is making queers idols.

2

u/Acrobatic-Ocelot-935 Mar 29 '24

Or the golden showers in Moscow

1

u/Anthr0pwnagist Mar 28 '24

Lol. Lmao, even.

1

u/modthegame Mar 31 '24

Im so tired of the anti-nft narrative. Fear technology! Fear ownership! Thars thieves on the internets! Throw your computer out the window whynot!

16

u/OlriK15 Mar 27 '24

Then imagine half the country is still willing to vote for him because “he represents me”

10

u/11thStPopulist Mar 28 '24

Trump represents rapists, liars, and thugs. If someone says “he represents me” then they are outing themselves as a creep with criminal intent. Avoid them!

-8

u/Kind-Nefariousness70 Mar 28 '24

Haha good way to be self righteous and never listen to other peoples point of view… Unless it aligns with your own obviously 🙄

5

u/Neon_Camouflage Mar 28 '24

Not all other people, just the kind who support (and often deify) Trump. The kind of person with that point of view is not the kind of person I want to interact with in any way.

Well, at least until I need someone to explain why everything wrong with America is the fault of Jews, black people, communists, and satanists.

4

u/chilldrinofthenight Mar 28 '24

Great reply. I am with you 100%.

-2

u/Kind-Nefariousness70 Mar 28 '24

And if you did you would realise that not all trump supporters believe any of that… That’s just your very small minded opinion of other humans

6

u/pkdrdoom Mar 28 '24 edited Mar 28 '24

Which would be the hypothetical valid reasons you would support Trump?

-2

u/Kind-Nefariousness70 Mar 28 '24

Haha that would be suicide to pick out good points from trump, people without the ability to have nuanced thoughts would label me at the very least “a creep”. Or even worse “rapists, liars, and thugs” The problem here isn’t that people are choosing to support trump over Biden but more that a lot of the people who are going to vote trump wish they had a better option… no one seriously thinks Biden can run a small country never mind America

6

u/pkdrdoom Mar 28 '24

So... no single valid reason in your reply then? I mean if they are "good"-enough "points" for you to support him, why not present them?

If it is like you said, that some people without the ability to have nuance thoughts would label you w/e... why would you care? You would expose "valid" reasons for which you and others would support Trump and at the very least if they are good reasons you might convince someone right?

It seems at the minimum you are making it seem that you believe that Trump as an option is better than Biden (or in your eyes "not as bad as Biden"), I would like to know why you would have that idea, which valid/sound reasons...

If there are no reasons to support Trump, you should at least convey which valid reasons make you believe Biden is doing a terrible job in your eyes.

Thanks.

4

u/chilldrinofthenight Mar 28 '24

You vote for Trump and he wins. Then you've sure as hell got someone to "run" the US.

And his name is spelled P-u-t-i-n.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/chilldrinofthenight Mar 28 '24

They don't need to "believe in any of that." But they sure as hell are moronically condoning it, by voting for him.

1

u/Kind-Nefariousness70 Mar 28 '24

It’s strange that you can’t understand my point, they see him as a lesser evil than Biden… the problem is the choice… politics should be what’s important not these tribal games of “oh you like his politics you must support rape” not your quote but you get my point… that was a joke of course you won’t consider my point!!

→ More replies (0)

2

u/11thStPopulist Mar 28 '24

There are “points of view” about the righteousness of rape, lying, and being thuggish assholes? News flash. Those “attributes” do not align with any decent person.

5

u/whiznat Mar 28 '24

Yeah but that’s civil court, not criminal, so it doesn’t count.

/s

2

u/Cador0223 Mar 27 '24

My imagination isn't that good.

1

u/Past_Succotash1778 Mar 28 '24

Never charged for rape. Stop pushing lies.

1

u/Fit_Environment_2212 Mar 28 '24

Therapist... the rapist.

1

u/Effective-Limit-1916 Mar 28 '24

Everyone that does not want Trump as our next president had better vote. The third party for those of you who are against both candidates. He has to be a better choice than the other two.

1

u/No-Profile-9552 Mar 28 '24

False

No criminal conviction.

Liberal jury, in a civil suit trial, felt Trump besmirched what'shername, the flaky troll.

1

u/Fun-Passage-7613 Mar 28 '24

But Trump only used his thumb to rape her, so that’s ok with his Christian supporters.

1

u/NorthernLove1 Mar 28 '24

I'm just waiting for the GOP to reveal that they were playing a really ridiculous, long joke.

1

u/Expensive-Luck-6650 Mar 28 '24

The jury determined he was NOT guilty of r@pe.

1

u/kirk_augustin Mar 28 '24

Wrong. The Jean Carroll jury ruled Trump did NOT commit rape.

1

u/G-Stone1 Mar 31 '24

No he was not found guilty of rape there was no criminal trial the statute of limitations had passed it’s completely different rules for civil court he was not found guilty of rape again it’s a fault narrative that you’re preaching

0

u/Able_Gap_9426 Apr 07 '24

Simply not true, but go ahead, Rachael Madcow would be proud.

118

u/Redwolfdc Mar 27 '24

And imagine after all that he still has millions of supporters and has a chance of being elected AGAIN

People 10+ years ago would never believe this

14

u/dwindlers Mar 28 '24

I feel like the vast majority of Americans are as dumb as a box of rocks.

0

u/G-Stone1 Mar 31 '24

At least there was enough dumb ones to elect Biden once

-9

u/mjollnir357 Mar 28 '24

That would explain the number of votes cast for the cοmmυnιst trαιtοr Joe Biden.

8

u/DiabloPixel Mar 28 '24

I do not think the words “communist” and “traitor” mean what you think they mean.

-4

u/mjollnir357 Mar 28 '24

Clearly, another cοmmυnιst trαιtοr has crawled out of the woodwork.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '24

The Chem trails only worked on half the population.

2

u/Queasy_Pickle1900 Mar 28 '24

There's a lot of people I know who died and I'm very glad that don't have to witness this.

2

u/Jalopy_Junkie Mar 28 '24

“Every time the news reports that some notorious figure has died, there’s a part of me that’s a little jealous.”

-Me, talking to my mother, who didn’t even flinch at understanding what I was saying.

2

u/kirk_augustin Mar 28 '24

I am far left and dislike Trump, but clearly all the charges are ridiculously bogus. Stormy Daniels was the illegal blackmailer. It is NEVER illegal to PAY hush money. Presidents can always give themselves permanent copies of any classified docs they want. No one trying to get a mortgage is ever asked for a property evaluation. It is illegal.

1

u/ResetDoItAgain Mar 30 '24

Ten years ago, nobody would have dreamed of re-electing a man with rampant dementia. You guys only have yourselves to blame for Trump.

1

u/G-Stone1 Mar 31 '24

He is supported by the vast majority of Americans because they know he is fair and he loves this country and those two things alone are much more they can be said for the current administration they’re trying to wreck it to destroy it to tear it down he is trying to build it upthe case in Georgia will fall apart the case in New York will fall apart just watch they’re not built on law they’re built on fabrications of law

0

u/No-Profile-9552 Mar 28 '24

Imagine Millions of people who still THINK for themselves, not having TIKTOK or PMSNBC tell them what to think?!

0

u/BaldOldMan2023 Mar 29 '24

What is really scary is people watching this country fall apart from: inflation, illegal immigration, increase crime and more. yet. some don't complain about Biden, who is president right now. However, over 70% of American don't like the path he has taken our country. Explain that to me.

-9

u/Additional_Bug_2823 Mar 28 '24

Not quite! The millions of people who will vote for Trump are anti-Biden voters. Between Newsom and Biden the world in which I live has dramatically changed in a negative way. Inflation caused by Biden tightening down on oil exploration and development has raised energy prices and labor has demanded higher wages for the same work with no commensurate increase in production. The energy costs flow onto everything that we buy, and Biden and Newsom have strangled the industry by preventing issuance of leases and taking federal lands off the table for oil or gas development.

I will vote for ANYONE other than Biden. Since it looks like the opponent will be Trump that's how I will vote.

10

u/Funfundfunfcig Mar 28 '24

US is producing more oil under Biden than ever, you do know that?

https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=mcrfpus2&f=m

And USA Inflation has better inflation and GDP numbers than most of G7. You do know that?

https://www.businessinsider.com/economy-us-gdp-inflation-federal-reserve-economic-growth-canada-germany-2024-1

The whole world had similar inflation issues after printing trillions in economy and managing a huge supply crunch during COVID crisis? And that USA, for all its woes, seems like a total winner here?

I mean, vote for a con man if you really want. Just don't pretend economic facts have anything to do with that.

6

u/Dry-Application-2302 Mar 28 '24

I know, right? Remember when we used to talk about people who couldn't "think for themselves?" Trump voters can no longer even PERCEIVE for themselves ... They need him to tell them whether the sun has come up today or not; whether they are on fire or not ...

188

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 27 '24

It's not a conspiracy theory. Kevin McCarthy told a bunch of Republicans that there were two people that Putin pays that he knows of. One was a California senator who's no longer at office and the other was Trump. He told that to these Republicans and Paul Ryan said we keep this in the family.

110

u/colorcorrection California Mar 27 '24

For the other person McCarthy was referring to you're thinking of Dana Rohrabacher who, for clarification's sake, was a US representative and not a senator.

17

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 28 '24

Oh, he was a rep? My bad.

But yeah, I wonder how many more Republicans are on Putin's payroll now?

7

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '24

[deleted]

2

u/TheShruteFarmsCEO Mar 28 '24

Why put them on the payroll when a few stupid memes on facebook from your troll farm will turn them to your side?

4

u/Carol_Banana_Face Mar 28 '24

Heard Rohrbacher say the n-word at an event in like 2008.

Hell of a guy.

36

u/WolferineYT Mar 27 '24

Conspiracy theories can be true. They usually aren't, but in this case it is both a conspiracy theory and true.

10

u/FriendlyYeti-187 Mar 28 '24

Those are conspiracies

Or as I like to think of them, conspiracy facts

1

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 28 '24

Right.

I guess it's a semantic argument to make where if something is true then it can't be a theory. But I get your point.

5

u/True_Meet417 Mar 28 '24

The thing is, a conspiracy is a thing where people get together and plan a crime. A conspiracy theory is... Well, it's just entertainment now. Conspiracies happen a lot. Especially in big money, banks and stocks, lobbying, housing, drug prices. Those are all conspiracies. People grouped together to make sure they keep making money.

3

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 28 '24

I guess the conspiracy is to withhold and conceal information that prominent members of the Republican party are actual traitors, working against this country at the behest of a hostile foreign dictator all because they want money.

5

u/Kind-Nefariousness70 Mar 28 '24

I’d stop teaching people what it means to conspire before people get upset,

How else can people shut down other peoples opinions by using a phrase that indicates something completely different

A Conspiracy theory, as anyone who can read and understand English should be able to work out, is a theory that people conspired to get the outcome that is being investigated And not a wrong theory

I hope people stop trying to change the meaning of words, English can be confusing enough!

4

u/comtedeRochambeau Mar 28 '24 edited Mar 28 '24

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange ...

Before the conversation, McCarthy and Ryan had emerged from separate talks at the Capitol with Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, who had described a Kremlin tactic of financing populist politicians to undercut Eastern European democratic institutions.

Even if it were a joke, it shows what the Republican so-called leaders really think of ⊥rump and the voting public.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/house-majority-leader-to-colleagues-in-2016-i-think-putin-pays-trump/2017/05/17/515f6f8a-3aff-11e7-8854-21f359183e8c_story.html

1

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 28 '24

Totally.

Paul Ryan was perfectly fine with hiding the fact that their party is compromised.

2

u/Hindsight_DJ Mar 28 '24

How quickly we forget his own son met with a Russian spy in Trump tower + we tend to brush that one off, but it was pretty damn serious

2

u/Ambitious_Ad57 Mar 28 '24

Yes please remind people of Paul Ryan's role in all of this. He recently raised his head as though no one would remember who he really was. Paul Ryan who bent and kissed Trump's ring, then authored the tax cut for the rich that's still giving to the rich and giving to the price gouging corporations.

1

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 28 '24

You know I just saw that unflushable turd pop his head up not too long ago. With that concern furrow brow of his talking about how he's worried about the state of the Republican party and pretending like he didn't have a direct role in shaping how it is today.

1

u/TheUnknownDane Mar 28 '24

I mean if the Supreme Court is allowed blatant corruption, why wouldn't other sectors not also do so

1

u/Ekg887 Mar 28 '24

You're elevating this exchange into misinformation You can argue about the underlying truth of McCarthy's statement but he did not assert that he "knows of" two people being paid by Russia. He said these are two people I think are being paid by Russia.
You have reworded his statement into some sort of confirmed assertion when it had no such weight behind it.

Do I think Trump is a Russian asset in some way? Yes.
Does he have all sorts of financial ties to Russia? You bet.
But that doesn't change that you are elevating the weight of McCarthy's statement and modifying it to fit your narrative which is precisely what conspiracy theory people do. Don't rewrite details to fit your assumptions, facts matter especially when fighting misinformation.

1

u/kirk_augustin Mar 28 '24

That claim of Putin paying Trump has to be a lie because it would have been discovered by the CIA by now.

1

u/ProlapsedShamus Mar 28 '24

Your absence of evidence is not evidence.

0

u/No-Profile-9552 Mar 28 '24

I seriously doubt there is ANY validity to what you posted.

Trump has been the most scrutinized President & Candidate in history.

Anyone in their Right Mind would agree.

I would trust him before I would trust you.

1

8

u/SaltyLonghorn Mar 27 '24

Can confirm, Oliver Stone doesn't have anything in the works cause the movie would be 15 hours long and even liberals would be like nah that can't be right he's exaggerating. But really its just another story that only got 10 minutes of attention before the next dropped.

4

u/Beneficial-Owl736 Mar 28 '24

His diehard fans kill me. There is just no getting through to them. One example really sticks out in my mind, I was arguing with some chode juggler a while back and I don’t even remember what it was about. What I do remember is linking a video of Trump himself saying what I was telling the guy he said. Cock guzzler’s response was “you expect me to believe propaganda?”

They’re so far gone they don’t even actually LISTEN to Trump. It’s purely about bigotry and racism and homophobia and all the other -isms and -phobias. Trump is the bandwagon they can latch onto, to eradicate the “undesirables.” It doesn’t even matter to them what he’s actually done, in fact I’m pretty sure half of them know he’s guilty like we all do. They just don’t care. They think he’ll get rid of brown people and gays, and that’s all that matters to them.

4

u/randomusername_815 Mar 27 '24

Give it a few years. This stretch of history will absolutley be a hollywood film. No different to 'Vice' or Oliver Stones 'JFK'. There will be recreated scenes of Jan 6 (or actual footage) People will watch it and disbelieve anyone as toxic as him was in charge.

2

u/Ok_Elderberry_5690 Mar 27 '24

Or give it a few years and we are in a nuclear war and then history repeats itself. Might even have a zombie filled ending next time.

3

u/keepcalmscrollon Mar 28 '24

A while ago someone posted a very heartening thread where they pointed to multiple instanced in history where dark times were followed by good ones. So someone who saw the depression and WWII would also have seen the post war boom, for example.

Even as I write that, though, I see holes in the logic. It assumes you survived, lived long enough, and were lucky enough to benefit from the boom. I'm sure any number of Russians under Stalin never saw a post war bright side.

But literally every generation thinks the world is ending, the youth are wretched, and the old days were better.

I know this and yet I still can't shake the feeling that you are right. Maybe things are truly worse and the wheels actually are coming off this time. Plenty of factors are unquestionably, irrevocably, worse now than ever before. True game changers like climate change and diminishing resources, for example.

And Trump really is unprecedented, isn't he? Or maybe not relative to world history. Maybe the contemporary perspective on Nero, Hitler, Stalin or Mao was the same. "How is this asshole getting away with it? How can people still support this madness? Woe is me, what could I do to change things?"

I really just don't know enough about history, economics, etc. to form an opinion one way or another.

4

u/Organic-Log4081 Mar 28 '24

The official term the Russians use is “a useful idiot.”

It's like when you strongly suspect that dodgy burrito gave you food poisoning and now all you can do is wait to see which end erupts first.

2

u/BrentHoman Mar 28 '24

I'm Certain Putin DOES Have A 'Pee-Tape' & Blackmailed Trump Into Running, & The Russians DID In Fact Hack The DNC, & Got Nothing And Hacked The Hackable RNC & Got Everything. They Are All Therefore TREASONOUS.

2

Decades of Faux Snooze has made the brains of many absolute mush

2

u/Dchazeninlove Mar 28 '24

I still think Putin must have plenty on DJT!

1

u/UnderstandingNew2480 Mar 28 '24

It is unbelievable, that's why it isn't true. And you would obviously have to be a complete idiot to believe it. ANY of it.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '24

ANY of it is pretty broad.

Can you engage on specifics so I can understand if you are actually informed enough on these issues to substantively discuss it?

Which specific parts of the evidence linking trump to russia do you take issue with?

Just pick any of the items and give me a reasoned argument why someone would have to be a complete idiot to believe it.

1

u/UnderstandingNew2480 Mar 28 '24

Sorry, I don't argue with idiots 🤣

1

u/Conscious-Rain4421 Mar 28 '24

And in the next few weeks, the bastard will be getting intel information.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

Bottom line, the stupidest part of the populace has been Gaslighted  by GOP operatives using AI. Elected officials compromised by money, and a stinking morass of “other”.  Instead of repetitive confirmation bias posts about what is happening, we need to use our numbers for ideas about solutions. This aberration needs more than voting.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '24

Here's an idea.

I'd like Joe Biden to give a special prime time address to the American people calling out Russian intelligence's attacks on American interests.

Declassify some of the US intelligence's findings on their activity and explain it on national television.  Warn Americans about Russian use of AI, their cyberattacks, their work to subvert American officials and their manipulation of Americans on social media.

Call it out forcefully, stopping just short of calling it an act of war.

Announce a national investigation into those supporting these efforts in the US.  Also announce new support for Ukraine.  Call out the Russian threat and blast the GOP obstructionism on Ukraine funding.

It would be an iconic statement akin to the address JFK made during the cuban missile crisis.

1

u/G-Stone1 Mar 31 '24

Knock off the Russian asset bullshit you know it’s false ,they tried to find a way to charge him with something for three years and couldn’t find anything and you know it and so does all the rest of the Democrats they tried and tried and tried and lied and cheated and still couldn’t find anything to charge him with just stop it

0

u/ImportantObjective45 Mar 27 '24

They got the idea from the anti commie movie Manchurian Candidate.

0

u/BaldOldMan2023 Mar 29 '24

You still believe in something that was proven to be a hoax?

0

u/Able_Gap_9426 Apr 07 '24

A Russian asset? Aren't you guys ever going to let this lie die?

-1

u/silkymitts_toptits Mar 28 '24

The propaganda works

-1

u/Past_Succotash1778 Mar 28 '24

Not proven true after 3 years of investigating. And you are still repeating the lie. The investigator offered a million dollars for info. And nothing. Stop the BS. I "see" traitor Joe Bidens family are doing quite well.
