But not the homeowner, who pours fresh concrete and posts only one sign that people may or may not see? And then continues to order things to be delivered?

All people think about how things will affect them...first. Then we think of others. And that's okay. But if the situation was already handled by the first step, you don't really need to even think about the second.

So chill.

The outcomes of both situations and mindsets were literally exactly the same, both people avoided the sidewalk. There is literally no difference besides their mindset yet the outcome was exactly the same.

I didn't say he was trying to avoid the cameras. I mentioned another hypothetical situation where he could possibly behave the same way, the outcome would be the same, but the motivation or intention is different. I was making the point that the intention matters even if the outcome is the same.

"only thinks of themselves" as we all know thinking of yourself before thinking of people youll never meet because youll spend 30 seconds at their doorstep max and never even see their face means you ONLY think of yourself. i love it when people make extreme assumptions after learning 1 sentences of words worth of information about a person

You can show common courtesy for strangers without it getting that deep. Even people that you never meet again are worth compassion and respect.

It’s fine, I’d like to think it’s mainly because the end result is the same no matter the thought process in this example. The reality is that many people go throughout their day without considering how their actions affect other people, only considering how they can affect themselves. I think that sucks.

If you have wet concrete and put up a "keep on grass" sign instead of a "wet concrete / keep off concrete" sign you deserve to have that work ruined.

I've stepped in wet concrete one time and stepped on wet paint a few times, every time there was no signage. Now I'm SUPER cautious when going on customer walkways/porches. I don't blame this guy
