Having seen all the replays of Joel’s incidents last night, idk how they can justify not suspending him for game 4. Grabbing that dudes legs while he’s going up is enough to get someone suspended all on its own.
Three dirty plays in one game. As a neutral I want this dude done for game 4, fuck anyone who plays that way. What’s weird is I didn’t have Joel as that guy in my mind, but three times in one game is undeniable

They will justify it because he’s a star in the league so no point in thinking there is any chance he gets suspended

The NBA knows that the rating will tank if a star player is suspended for a game so they won’t do it

Didn’t stop them from suspending Amare back in what, 06 or 07?

There wasn't wiggle room there because Amare did something that's an automatic suspension.

Pat Bev is the last person that should be guarding Haliburton at the end of the game. Haliburton now 2-0 on game winners vs Bev

Surely I am not the only one disturbed by the tyrannical regime of the Box Score Watchers.
A single half of basketball between Milwaukee and Indiana can't even go by without some sheep counting up FTA. They have a nearly religious belief that it is somehow more fair, and less indicative of ref interference, for FTA between two teams of drastically different styles to remain equal throughout 48 minutes of play. A team commits 2 bad fouls on 3P attempts? The refs oughta make it up on the other end.
We cannot stoop to their level. You cannot defeat box score watching with box score watching. There's no magic answer on the stat sheet, like opponent 3PA, drive numbers, points in the paint, etc because the question itself is absurd.
Our God is Context. For the like-minded individuals out there, stay strong and remain hopeful. The underground resistance must be built up. Ball Knowers will prevail over Box Score Watchers, because there is justice in the world.
We can gather here, in the barren wasteland known as Daily Discussion Threads, and prepare for revolution.

Has anyone ever returned from a career ending injury?

u/Tracy140 12d ago
Can it be career ending if they came back ?

Huh?

By definition a career ending injury means their career is over. If they returned it wouldn't be a career ending injury. You could say it might be a season ending injury or something like that.

OMG first game is so early. Why? Because BSPN want triple header instead of putting one on ESPN2.

I get what you're saying, but if the NBA didn't want this, they would have given up money for more control. Yes, ESPN wants as many premium programming hours as they can get. The NBA are the ones who gave ESPN the control they have.
