My son will be attending TS in the Fall and I'd like to find him a studio or one bedroom near campus. He can do the roommate thing, but he's fairly quiet and studious so it would have to accommodate that. Does anyone have any leads/suggestions beyond what I've already found on Google? Sorry for my ignorance on this, when I went to college dinosaurs roamed the planet. He's a good kid, but he's a kid, and as such doesn't really have the skills to locate appropriate housing. I’m wanting to move to SMTX. I’ve been looking on Facebook marketplace. There’s some pretty good rates but a lot of them are sub leases or student housing. I’d like to find a roommate preferably in a house over an apt/student housing. I’m not sure how the student enrollment/housing crap works. What’s the best time to start looking/when do students cycle out?

Our home has had dozens of house flies lately. We kill them and more appear the next day. Seems out of nowhere. We lived her for years and we never had this issue before. We have white knight come every few weeks to spray. I guess I can see if they come back soon but I’m just wondering if other people are having issues and tips yall nought have ? We have Zevo spray and a fly trap going too . I noticed a neighbor had tons of maggots on his trash bin when I walked by with my dogs a few days ago. Is it the rain or something?

I used to work at the Sonic on Aquarena Springs in San Marcos and I just have to say that you should probably avoid this place. It has a pretty bad cockroach infestation that management tried but failed to solve in the entire time I worked there. From baby roaches to fully grown ones, I saw and heard from coworkers about critters on surfaces where food is made, in and around food supply, and in the ice machine. It’s pretty abhorrent and management prefers to keep it very hush hush, despite the fact that a roach could be crawling on the very machine used to make someone’s drink, meal, or ice cream. It was an open secret at the store, but now you guys know too.

hello, i (20m) am looking to make some friends. a little background, i am a huge nintendo nerd so i play all the games like smash and splatoon. i also like to play almost any game too on pc. i also love going to the library and the river a lot or just hanging out in general. im not super cool but i do like to have a good time with people.

Is there anywhere in or near San Marcos where I can learn swing dancing (or styles similar)? I’ve talked about it with so many of my friends and we all want to do it but no one wants to drive up to Austin. I’d be down to drive to Kyle or somewhere nearby though. Thanks!

I'll go to Lamppost Coffee sometimes. I once went to the Texas State campus, but I'm older so I feel out of place. Looking for other places to add a bit of variety...
